Summary: Anukokunda Oka Roju ("One Day, Without my Knowledge...") is a Telugu film directed by Chandra Shekar Yeleti. The plot centers around a young woman named Sahasra. She attends a party with some friends and wakes up later in her own house, not remembering what happened that night. A series of mysterious events prompts her to enlist the help of a police officer to figure out what went on between the time of the party and the time she woke up. Review: One of the saving graces of Telugu cinema, the main attraction of this film is the plot. In these days of heroes, star power, and mass films, this movie brings something very rare: a realistic main character. You also have to give it props for not focusing totally on romance with a female lead, like many other heroine-oriented films tend to do. While being innovative (for a Telugu film), the movie also does its job: keep the audience entertained. I was treated to some two hours of suspense, comedy, quirky characters, a little action here and there, and (of course) song-and-dance numbers. The best of masala film. The acting is done surprisingly well. Where many directors would have gone for melodramatic über-acting, Yeleti uses much more subtle, realistic dialogue. Except for a couple of scenes where Charmy goes overboard. Otherwise, wonderful. In conclusion: Watch It. Go to the theater right now, I DARE you to not like it.

My words were WOW!!, after I watched this movie. Excellent movie in recent times!!! It seems like there is hope left that even Tollywood can produce a masterpiece like this. The movie provides everything - stupendous direction, each and every character very well crafted, timely songs, and mainly the suspense thats not let out till the end of movie. You are made to think about various things about the climax of the movie, and at the end entirely a very different outcome is shown. Honestly, I never thought Jagapathi Babu had such talent in him. He was quite amazing in the movie. The same thought about Charmi. I personally like her cute face. I have to agree that the guy from "AIYTHE" was just perfect for the cab driver role. The movie left me with a good feeling, and thanks to all those who made the movie a great success. So if you haven't watched the movie, its about time to do so!!

Its great to come across a really good no-nonsense Telugu movie! Charmee's a charmer and she is super fresh here. She handles her role with great panache. This will be her role of a lifetime. Jagapathi Babu's part suits him very well as a coy cop. This movie is good because it carefully avoids all the excesses that other "mass" Telugu movies mindlessly indulge in. There are no corny dialogues to make you cringe. The director does a fantastic job handling the comedy as well as the dramatic parts. The music is quite soothing and not the regular cacophony that we come across in routine Telugu flicks. All the songs blend smoothly into the plot. The dialogues are very realistic and the kind you and I can relate to. Watching this film reminded me of 'Kshana Kshanam', another masterpiece. The director seems to have been obviously inspired by it.The plot is airtight overall, although the ending may seem a stretch to some. I wonder how this movie did at the box office though, as it is "class" as opposed to "mass". Its sad to see good movies not being appreciated by the general public. I haven't watched 'Aithe', by this director yet, but I certainly will, now.

The Ayithey team has done it again. Nice plot, sane direction and good music, all rare in Thelugu movies, make this movie a must-see for a Tollywood fan. Jagapathi Babu, Charmie and the Ayithey guy have done a good job in front of the camera while the director and his team did an equally laudable job behind. KeeravaNi came up some fresh music that works in tandem with the story.A starking feature of this team's movies seems to be the earthly manner of portraying characters. Also the dialogues are so colloquial that a normal person can very well feel the intensity and tone. Some scenes like the Jagapathi Babu's jostling scene near the end were captured with a very real touch, like in a documentary.Dealing with issues of drugs and bigotry, the movie stands apart from typical run of the mill Thelugu movies that don't qualify even to appear on websites like IMDb. Go watch it IN A THEATRE... please encourage at least the good film makers!
