This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

I honestly was bored out of my mind. His delivery is very full of himself and even though I appreciate the effort made to poke fun at himself and that, it just never really makes me laugh. Not my sense of humour, I guess.

In a way Ricky is around 40 years too late, his comedy is blunt, forceful and controversial, and comparisons with someone like Peter Cook are not misplaced.Underneath the awkward exterior lies a thoughtful and angry man. Which for comedy is good. Invariably and ironically some people will miss the point of this show. He is using the vehicle of comedy to illustrate that our opinions and beliefs which lead us to laugh or be offended vary from person to person. It is this which is the basis for our humanity because it governs who we are and what we do. This show is not about him but about his audience, and if it makes us think a little about who we are then all the better.

Ohhhhhhh! Such a big fan of Ricky Gervais, I even tried to get tickets for this tour and they sold out too quickly. We all know what we're in for when it comes to Ricky Gervais, we love the shock value, the controversy and the non pc humour, but i cringed pretty much all the way through this at where those boundaries were pushed. Is there any boundary left? Of course I'll return to Gervais any time he brings out a new comedy. But think I'll stay away from the stand up.

Ricky is nothing if not an observant social commentator... And for that, I do feel that he's playing it rather safer and staider than usual in this Netflix special. Gone are his painfully self reflective, perring though the fingers "ouch" moments and in are rather cute, agreeable anecdotes about life, his childhood, upbringing and a few "tasty" tidbits targetting Bruce Jenner and other notable celebs....TBH, I found this whole more show insightful and informative rather than anything outright comedic... He appears to be more interested in teaching critical thinking and media awareness than just outright making us laugh at titillating one-liners ....Moreover, it clearly demonstrates his desire for us, as humans, to elevate ourselves above our tedious, monotonous daily rigmarole and "own" our own lives and viewpoints and take responsibility for our predicaments, whatever they may be.If you're watching for out-and-out humour, you're likely to be disappointed, but if you're interested in an hour of light-hearted "social and media edutainment" then this show is, ironically perhaps, a "godsend."In conclusion, I feel that I came away from this somewhat intellectually aroused and feeling more positive about the world around me and assuaged that others feel the same way about trivialities and "snowflakism" as I do.
