As Good As It Gets
Absolutely Fantastic
I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Bajo la metralla is actually one of those movies that keep you at the edge of your seat. It has it all! Maria Rojo is one of the best "unpolished" jewels to come out of Mexico. This movie was splendidly made without falling into the typical crappy caricature acction movie that Mexicans tend to do in movies like Siete en la mira, Lola la trailera or anything made by the Almada brothers.
