Alaska: The Last Frontier (2011)

Centers on the Kilcher family and their community outside Homer, Alaska. Begun by patriarch Yule Kilcher who immigrated from Europe during WWII, and currently led by his sons, Otto and Atz Kilcher (singer Jewel's father) the family have lived on their land for four generations. The show also features the homesteaders who live nearby and interact with the Kilchers.

An unprecedented new chapter kicks off on the homestead as the Kilchers film themselves coping with Alaska's stay-at-home order amid a growing pandemic. Resources must be stretched, homeschooling proves difficult and Atz Lee's PTSD resurfaces.

A runaway stallion unexpectedly threatens the cattle drive.

A flood threatens Kilcher road and Eve struggles to homeschool.

Otto, Charlotte and August find themselves marooned while sailing.

The Kilchers take advantage of high summer's extra daylight to forge ahead.

An earthquake strikes Homer, triggering a tsunami warning and evacuation.

To protect the homestead from wildfires, Otto dynamites a reservoir; Charlotte goes fishing with Jane but finds it's not for her; after falling behind on the Fox Cabin, Atz Sr. enlists the help of his family to get back on track.

As fall approaches, the Kilchers kick into high gear; a large bull moose stalks the homestead and Eivin must keep his family safe; Atz Sr. hunts bear and nearly loses a horse; Otto begins the cleanup from an explosive wildfire prevention project.
