Architect George Clarke visits some of Britain's most beautiful historic houses in the country each with their own individual architectural style. The problem is that the way houses were built years ago doesn't work anymore so George helps the owners make their period homes fit for modern life.

In London, he meets Flo, a first-time buyer who wants to turn her 1930s flat into the welcoming gathering place she’s always dreamed of but does George share her passion for the colour pink?
In Kent, Pete and Amelie tackle a mammoth Victorian house with a colossal 16 rooms. And George returns to Warwickshire to help Michele finish remodelling her adjoining Grade ll listed cottages.
