In Kenya, a team oversees the results of an innovative milk formula developed for elephant calves. A hippo called Funani welcomes her bundle of joy, and Omeo, the orphaned koala joey, gets a second chance at the zoo.
It's a monumental day at the zoo when a lappet-faced vulture lays its first-ever egg. A pygmy hippo called Mabel becomes a mama, and a groundbreaking procedure for a white rhino could help save the species.
The staff springs into action when a Malaysian tiger called Connor suffers from unusual nosebleeds. Koala joeys prepare to embrace their new habitat, and a pair of playful platypuses begin their next chapter at the zoo.
The staff make a tough decision about the zoo's Lesser flamingo eggs, and later builds Stuart, a fishing cat cub, an elaborate perch. A trio of pigs get a big surprise, and a cling of koalas regain strength after blazing bushfires.
The vets at the zoo come together to design a custom shoe for a three-toed Baird tapir; African penguins welcome chicks to the colony; the youngest elephant, Mkhaya, discovers her powerful trunk; an Andean bear prepares for mating season.
A newborn klipspringer is miraculously nursed back to health, and the California condor team jumps through hoops to save the endangered species. Impo the baboon is on a mission to find a mate, and two cheetah cubs train to become animal ambassadors.
