The nine flaxen-haired children in the Plath family have never had a soda, don't know who Spiderman or Tom Brady is and have never watched TV, living remotely in rural Georgia with their "follow their own rules" parents Kim and Barry Plath.

Barry and Kim sit down with the kids to speak about more changes in the family. Moriah showcases her personal rebellion in the form of a tattoo. Ethan and Olivia say goodbye to Tampa while Moriah hosts her sisters for a special girls weekend.
Ethan and Olivia have settled into their new town in Minnesota and express high hopes for their marriage. Micah questions his future in Los Angeles. Kim tells her friend about a major update in her love life, but she fears telling her own children.
Olivia and Ethan host Lydia Grace and her boyfriend for Christmas. Kim hesitantly sits down with Isaac, hoping he'll approve of her dating his flight instructor. Micah and Moriah struggle to reconcile with Ethan. Oliva and Ethan's marital tension resurfaces.
Kim starts new family traditions with the kids for Christmas. Barry and Micah spend the holidays alone. Olivia and Ethan confide in Lydia Grace and CJ that their marriage may have differences they can't overcome.
Kim nervously shares her dating news with Moriah and Lydia. Moriah decides to unblock and text Ethan and is taken aback by his response. Olivia hits her breaking point when she realizes Ethan is up to his old ways.
Ethan leaves Olivia behind in Minnesota as he heads to Cairo to pick up his cars and reconnect with his family. Olivia talks to her friend about her marital issues and her struggle to stay true to her vows. Kim comes clean to Amber about Ken.
Kim and Barry are together for the first time since the family learned of Kim dating Ken. Moriah attempts to break the ice and reaches out to Ethan during his road trip. Olivia extends an olive branch to Micah, hoping he's willing to meet with her on her terms.
Olivia and Ethan realize their marriage has reached an impasse due to differences in their values. Kim and Barry find it difficult to peacefully co-parent. Barry and Isaac visit Micah in LA and hope Ethan will join them despite his troubled marriage.
The Plath men go surfing in LA, and Barry and Ethan have a heart-to-heart. Olivia takes a trip to get some clarity on her marriage. Moriah crashes boys' weekend and comes face to face with Ethan for the first time in nearly a year. Ken pops an unexpected question to Kim.
