Romain, 18, is a sociology student. In rebellion against his native environment and imprisoned in a toxic romantic relationship with a woman who has total control over his life, he thinks he can find in the pornographic adventure a way of emancipation. Romain stumbles upon his naked magazine cover, realising his image is circulating, bringing trouble with his teachers. He meets Isaure, his critical anarchist friend who questions the purpose of his pornographic experience.
Despite Isaure's reluctance and Linda's jealousy, Romain agrees to a second shoot. They film at a castle with an absurd scenario, where Romain plays a bisexual gardener. Dylan, an experienced actor, mentors him and shares the industry's rules.
Romain's declining fame takes a toll as he confronts his parents in a tense atmosphere. Meanwhile, public recognition on the streets adds to his troubles. Isaure fears the impact on their activism.
Romain goes to shoot a film by Josette Rigaud. He encounters Roméo, an aging actor returning to porn and the infamous Gas Meters from Hungary. Josette replaces Romain's actress with an unhealthy performer, pushing him beyond his consent.
The porn industry grapples with a syphilis epidemic, with 200 cases getting reported. production freezes, forcing performers to risky peep shows. Romain faces personal challenges as Linda's jealousy turns violent. Andrée suggests intervening.
