Here in this magic academy city of Ashram, where everyone is required to live in dormitories, a close-knit group of girls known as “Pentagrams” pursue their studies, including training in manners and magic, to become “true ladies.” Arsnotoria, one of the students in Ashram, lives in Dorm 5 and is always with her dormmate friends: Mel, who’s the life of the party, Petit Albert, who’s quiet and does things at her own pace, Picatrix, who wants to be the class president, and Abramelin, who’s always cool. They take classes and work on their school duties together, and they throw tea parties after school in “that room”…

Arsnotoria, Mell, Little Alberta, Picatrix, and Abramelin get together (in that room) again! While they thought it would be a regular fun tea time, somehow it turns into a fight over how to eat scones?!
One morning, Arsnotoria loses her sense of smell. Noticing this, Mell, Little Alberta, Picatrix, and Abramelin attempt to employ "shock therapy" by gathering all sorts of "intense smells" so that Arsnotoria can regain her sense of smell.
Today is the day for the special night lessons. Arsnotoria and her friends enjoy the campus at night while making their way over to headmaster Solow for a hands-on session of magical botany. When they get to the moonlit greenhouse, they see something they've never seen before!
Mell and Little Alberta play hide and seek with lowerclassmen, Picatrix does her homework, and Abramelin spends her time doing research. Meanwhile Arsnotoria makes her way to the great library tower to share a late lunch with "a certain person".
The Pentagrams have to go shopping in the outside world, but some items are out of stock!
Picatrix is trying to keep up with the latest fashion trends from London, so the Pentagrams try to get their hands on bird feathers.
Little Alberta follows glowing rings of blue light into a cave, but soon after she realizes that she is trapped.
Since it is so rare for Ashlam to get snow, today's lesson plan for the Pentagrams is to play a lot in the snow.
After Solow sees Pentagram running in the hallway, she decides to hold a special lesson on how to walk like a lady.
Mell picks up a cat's whisker, considered a lucky charm, which kicks off an interesting chain of events.
