They head out the North Basin of Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba to set gill nets in search of whitefish and walleye. After a day setting nets the guys use the by-catch ciscos caught in the nets and head out to ice fish for big hungry northern pike.
Jay Siemens heads on a backcountry adventure with good friend and Winoga Lodge owner, Troy Mansfield, in search of blue walleyes. On this trip, they take a step back from technology and Jay learns how to fish for these unique walleyes with a willow stick.
Jay Siemens gives us a glimpse into the world of competitive ice fishing derbies. Jay and family head to the Falcon Lake Winter Fish-Off to share a little behind the scenes of what it takes to pull off an event of this size.
Jay Siemens targets jumbo black crappie through the ice with the aid of Livescope imaging. Jay and friend, Josh McFadden, ice skate and e-bike across the lake and show off the advantages and excitement of fishing with this widely discussed technology. The angling duo eventually catch enough crappie to drop a few fillets in some hot oil and cook up a flavorful panfish recipe with a coconut twist.
