Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

I'm a fan of the series, watched all the shows several times, played a lot of the games, so in short, I like Dragon Ball content. This movie however, it is just awful. The story is a joke and the whole movie is just boring.***Spoilers***Some officer from Frieza's old empire has the idea to summon the Dragon Balls and revive Frieza, who is stuck in teddy bear/rainbow hell. Frieza has proved to be no match for Goku, especially now Goku has defeated the far superior Cell, Buu and other much stronger villains and sparring partners. But Frieza has a trick up his sleeve, he never trained in his life (because he was lazy), but now he is going to train. Jup, Frieza is joining the gym. This will give him ultra mega golden super power and catches up with Goku and Vegeta (who are supposed to be more than 1000/10.000 times stronger) with a healthy carb diet and some cardio. When Frieza arrives on earth, Goku is not there, he destroy's north city, which seems to be more a inconvenience to all heroes. He uses thousands of henchmen to fight the earthen heroes as Piccolo, Krillin, Tien and Gohan, who have lots of problems killing them. Yep, that Gohan, who can tap into all of his power without even going 'super', destroyed Cell and rivaled Buu, now has trouble with henchmen. He needs a sensu bean to recover.Anyhow, Goku and Vegeta arrive, the fight in short; let's start full power, fight, that wasn't real full power, actual full power fight (Blue hair vs Golden Frieza), Frieza loses, but tricks the heroes by destroying earth and all is lost, but wait, Michael Sheen can reverse time and make everything good again. The end. What a waste of time.

(spoiler alert, warning readers) The power of the fighters is so retarded, piccolo, gohan (and a few weaker persons like krillin) had problem dealing with a couple thousands of ordinary people fighting for frieza. Son goku got oneshotted by an ordinary alien mini gun WHILE HE WAS IN GODFORM, WTF! It's like the producer just wanted to drag out the fighting-scenes and make team goku be more vulnerable than they are. Over all the fight-scenes were good and the movie somewhat funny time to time, but the script a HUGE letdown for true dragonball fans who care about the powerset characters have. The movie before this one was amazing 10/10... how could they make such an awful sequel??

The movie started off just great and looked promising for the first few minutes. The fight scenes were great and executed well enough. However, the movie had a very poor ending. Frieza had been Vegeta's nemesis from the very start and when Vegeta stepped in to fight Frieza, there was a certain kind of anticipation running through everyone expecting Vegeta to finish it in his style. However, the whole thing happened very briefly and expressing Goku as nothing but a victory hog. The movie was very one sided and somehow forced on to Goku to save the day, that too, very abruptly. Characters like Gohan and Piccolo were also mocked. At the end I would like to say it had some great fight scenes but a poor ending

First a quick description of the show: Frieza is revived by the remnants of his army. He retreats back to his planet to train for months in preparation to exact his revenge against the Saiyans. Upon completion of his training, he brings the entirety of his army and invades Earth. This movie is so action packed from beginning to end and I'm so glad I watched this in theater. Just being there in the movie theater with all the DBZ fans cheering and cracking up was just a wonderful experience. The fight scene, music, and animation just went above and beyond my expectation.I think the best aspect of this movie was when all the original DBZ characters got to show off their skills. Everyone from Master Roshi to Jaco the Galactic Patrolman had important and hilarious moments in this show. Without spoiling anything, a situation occurs in the show where the group divides up people to fight and they all showed their best skills. It wasn't one of those SPECIAL BEAM CANNON and then on to the next character kind of scenes. They all had a good amount of time spent on their fighting scenes and it's probably one of the best fan service moments I've ever seen. Even Vegeta, who is always being shown up by Goku, had really cool moments. The movie kept along at a relaxed pace in the beginning, but definitely revved up at the end. You know in some fight scenes, they usually have those swift blurred lines with people throwing punches that symbolizes that they are throwing dozens of them. Well, it's not there anymore. They slowed down the punches and really shows you the detail and strength behind them. If there is one thing I would nitpick about this movie, it would be that there was basically no major develop. In the previous movie, "Battle Of The Gods", you get to discover Beerus who brings power levels to a whole new ballgame, you see a new transformation of Super Saiyan, and it developed the plot and let you know that there are much stronger people out in the universe. But for this movie, there wasn't any huge developments. I think it was more of an homage to Frieza, the final sendoff to a great DBZ character, and I'm OK with that.I honestly can't say enough good things about this movie, to me it was damn near perfect. Give it a chance, you won't regret it!
