Rampage (2018)
Primatologist Davis Okoye shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
The acting in this movie is really good.
Considering the source material, the movie does follow it up pretty well in the fact that both the game and the movie are there just for giant animals causing havoc. Aside from a few interesting choices, things play out the way you would expect. One extra point from me for characters doing certain things that fit with their character, but otherwise just watch it if you got an itch for giant monsters destroying stuff. You can skip otherwise.
You get what you paid for. You want action, here it is. You want The Rock, here it is. You want Rampage? ..that's right... here it is. Story line is very detailed and actors preform great. As expected. A must see movie. Especially for Rock fans
Don't expect any awards for this movie, but if you want some escapism for an hour and a half and to be entertained, this is for you.
For the reviewers giving 1's and 10's you do understand that there are 8 possible other choices, right? I don't understand how you justify your logic. Have you seen Sharknado,The Room and Meet Dave? Rampage was best decibed on here as a "popcorn flick". Sure it was cheesy and had some less than realistic scenes but it wasn't terrible. It didn't have any shark falling from the sky like scenes. Scenes that defy all logic. Anyway, Rampage was a decent movie. Call it like it is. Stop with the ones and tens.
