Captivating movie !
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
The storyline was great; aiming right at the upper middle class and how despite the great measures put forward by the government; the poor still stay void of their rights. The direction could have been better; I had a hard time connectging with most of the scenes in the movie.
The movie shows the relationship between the rich and the poor, adding, how the rich steal the opportunities from the poor to make their living. The movie was so fascinating that it literally made me realize that what extent I would go to, to get things done for me. It made me realize that sometimes I have to accept my destination rather than stealing it. It is a mixture of a smile and tears, laughter and reality. Simply GREAT.
This is the first Hindi movie I am reviewing on IMDb and it fires on all cylinders!We now know that there are two actors who read the script well before signing up, there are only two actors in Bollywood: Aamir Khan and Irrfan Khan. I hope those who watch Hollywood movies will take a note on these two. Irrfan (he doesn't get the accolades he deserves!) always excel when it comes to acting. He plays lovey-dovey well with Sabah Qamar. Deepak Dobriyal as Irrfan's neighbor was exceptional! Next, this is a brave and bold attempt trying explain the social situation in India. The best part is you can watch it with anyone and treat them. They will be very happy for sure...it sure will give them a lot to think about!Verdict: A must watch!!!
The best thing to watch in this movie is the transition and arrangement of scenes. There is always a strong bridge connecting between the current and last scenes. The director chose a very simple daily life story and it is very difficult to craft such insipid stories into a beautiful movie without adding any tragic, emotional, bizarre or thriller part into it. Also too much of add ons can adulterate it. That's why I mentioned the movie to be a daily life curry with the perfect amount of flavors and ingredients in it. All the actors did a phenomenal job but Deepak Dobriyal was the best.
