There comes a point in everyone’s life when you have to make a decision about the direction you’re going to take. For newly-18 American fashion model Cora, that time is now. She’s moved to an Australian coastal town to be with her favourite aunt, after a 'fashion faux pas’ back home.

Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Cora Hamilton (Debby Ryan) is working to be the next IT girl. Her controlling mother runs a NY modeling agency who is mostly concerned about getting her a big modeling contract. After an embarrassing incident goes viral, she decides to run away to her aunt Margot living in a beach house in Australia. Margot is still haunted by the lost of her husband. There are hunky surf teacher Tom and local surf girl Chicka. Cora learns surfing and gets to design for the vintage fashion show. The story is pretty thin. It's not far from Ryan's Disney TV material. There isn't much in terms of drama or tension. It has some nice character growth but isn't much more than that. It's got some pretty scenery and a few pretty people. I'm guessing that this Australian production comes with local talents. The acting is fine. There is nothing out right bad but there is nothing that interesting either.

It sucked if you ask me. You know those movies that you never really get into? Yep this is that kind of movie. They first of all tried to make it way to meaningful. There was deep music going in 24/7 trough out the whole damn movie. I don't know if other people likes this, but I hate it. And there were so MANY montages. Second of all, every time Cora does something stupid everyone is like "Sure it's alright, who cares about how you freaked out on my friend, how you got mad at your boyfriend for no reason and how you just started to yell at your aunt, who's btw always said she could come to her and just lost her husband". And third of all, the relationships just didn't connect. Cora and her mother and aunt was okey, but her boyfriend? Yikes. I just generally don't like really meaningfull movies with music all the time, so maybe it's just that, but I really didn't like it. Not that I had high expectations, no offense to Debby Ryan, but I firstly thought it wouldn't be good because she plays the head role, and tries to be so so meaningful

Long review. Characters- 2/10 RUSHED & little character development Plot- 1/ 10 Let me get this straight, I didn't think this would be a good movie in the first place. I actually LIKE cheesy cliché movies, even when they're kind of bad. But this movie... this cheesy cliché movie tried to be all meaningful and it just doesn't work here. The jokes also fell flat. I only laughed ONCE.Summed up, Cora (Debby Ryan) falls down the stairs & has her photo taken by the paparazzi. She's so embarrassed that she moves in with her aunt in Australia. This is where she meets Chika and the love interest... I don't even remember his name and I just watched it lol. Every moment Cora has with her family or new friends is in a montage so you don't really feel the connections or chemistry that well. There were like, SEVEN, LONG MONTAGES. It got to the point when the characters hung out I'd be like "I swear to god if this turns into a montage... oh, another mONTAGE. WHO KNEW"The whole movie dragged & a lot of the character bonding happened in montages so when conflict happened, I didn't really care. Plus, all the conflict was solved almost instantly. And, Cora was a B**ch. She was a hypocrite and she was mean to EVERYONE who helped her. She was mean to her aunt for no real reason! Her aunt was all "do what makes u happy" and Cora's all "u don't even swim bc ur husband died" like wtf LMAO (I think that was just because lazy writing. They needed more conflict so they had to make Cora start some.)Also, she was instantly forgiven every time she apologized. She wasn't held accountable for what she did. Cora is supposed to be a strong individual trying to find herself but she's not. I honestly would hate to be friends with her LOL. She's everything I try NOT to be. The plot was soooo messy. Besides the slow pacing and meaningless montages, there were TWO climaxes, one right after the other. It just felt rushed and weird. NOT TO MENTON, that the middle climax was waaaayyyyy to close to the last two climaxes.I also didn't care for the aunt mourning over her dead husband subplot lol. Near the end, the mom had a redemption arc and she needed one but it was SO rushed. There wasn't enough character development for the mom to suddenly be a caring mother! I'd like to think that kids would enjoy this film, but I'd be lying. I don't think a child could sit through this. It was slow, boring, and predictable. Rip Tide sucked.

Hmmm, you know that movie "Afternoon Session", so I loved it, that's it. Going and moving, a light story, that parades the actors and catching you, yes, a cool movie! I did not give anything for him, but I liked it, I recommend it, for those who want something like this .... Movie about choices and relationship. The plot is about an aspiring model who makes a trip to the interior and discovers, the good things that exist in places like that !!!!It is the second film of the young Australian filmmaker Rhiannon Bannenberg, who previously did Ambrosia (2015), which received a great note in IMDB 8.1! The protagonist is young American Debby Ryan, who has made many TV series and movies, and this is still one of her first feature films. Also featuring beautiful Australian actress Genevieve Hegney who had already made Amber Amulet (2013), Love Without Sin (2013) and Candy (2006).
