It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Reality documentary crew records a young couple during their second pregnancy, after the first miscarried, but complications set in ...OK, it's mockumentary (of a documentary) plus FF - so some will dismiss it anyway. It is well made and a good story that sticks to the rules of the genre. Well acted too, and it avoids the crew-ego that spoils so many films like this. The problem I had is they decided to use camera/mic interference to convey the presence of the threat, and never made it literal. There was knocking at the door, but that was about it. So you end up with something that's really a tale of a decline into mental illness, and in my view that means it's not horror. You have to see a manifestation on screen, and glitches in the picture and audio shrieking are not enough.Otherwise the sound did create an effect, especially with the constant dog barking and the confused voices in the last scene (which came close to being ruined by the camera effects). But in the end it is a shocker.Overall, well worth watching but should have been spookier. Better than Paranormal Entity, but not a patch on the PA series at its best.

I had been waiting for a while to watch this and I was not disappointed. I actually got more than I expected.I loved the way they showed the first episode of the 'reality TV show' that was being filmed as the first part of the movie. That was very original and created a great mood. The acting was great and I thought the build up was perfect. I didn't think that there was anything unusual about the actions of the characters (its very hard to make a pregnant women do what she doesn't want to do).I also appreciated that they didn't try to scare with loud noises and in-your-face scares. It was subtle, creepy and much more realistic. The story has been done before but in my opinion this is one of the better versions. All in all I would place this at the above average level as far as 'found footage' movies go, and I've watched a lot of FF. 8/10.

It's a slightly different take than Devil's Due and it is notably shocking at times. There are good shocks in this one, definitely a shocker. The different take is that she is Catholic, and she is impregnated by a non-Catholic. She is also "manic-depressive". This adds a different element. The setting is believable with it being the old tapes from a pilot reality show. I don't really like the pregnant woman, at least she's not model or anything. DD has a hotter pregnant woman. This is important to me I don't know why...maybe because I'm just a guy. I guess this actually more realistic since it has an average-looking couple. I don't really like the jumping back and forth between before and after the whole incident was over. They shouldn't have revealed that she dies. The paintings as a reflection of the ghost and her pregnancy are a cool idea.

I really love "Found Footage" movies. This one steals the cake on that one. I love how it starts as a reality TV show with the edited footage then becomes something darker. I have always enjoyed movies in this style since The Blair Witch film many years ago. When the "Editors" of the reality TV show start revealing the footage that was cut from the TV show it starts putting the film into a better context.I don't consider this film in the same light as the Paranormal series of movies. Yes, cameras are throughout the house, but, when the theme of the original context of the film is a reality TV show, it works. This film, kind of reminded me of CAMP DREAD, as the theme of that film was a reality show, but, with death s the theme. The fact that the Rosemary Baby theme permeates throughout the film, makes me question the reality TV part of it. I knew I was expecting something bloody and disgusting as Bloody Disgusting is one of the production companies behind this picture.Overall, I still give this film two thumbs up as i still enjoyed the horror and the mystery behind it. I wish I didn't know that the main female was going to die in the end (it is mentioned in the beginning of the film that she dies 6 months later). I would have expected to discover that on my own. This film is not the Titanic, though we already knew the ship was going to sink. We should have been lead through the film and discovered at the end she dies.Either way, this movie is worth watching if you are a fan of "Found Footage" style movies.
