Surprisingly incoherent and boring

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

I cannot understand the negative reviews. Acting? Photography? Really? Is that your serious concern about this awesome piece of art? This is not a film to watch worried about technique, nor about entertainment. This is a movie to think, to be surprised and intrigued. Its a huge mindf**k puzzle, in an intense and crazy parallel dimension - at the real world. A sci-fi without space ships, just regular persons and regular scenery, through a very not regular story. Do yourself a favor and watch this film without trying to be an egocentric movie critic, but a true fan of art and different angles. Then you can go back to your comfortable "I saw this already" kind of movie. And no, nobody is paying me a penny to review it. Believe me, I work at a quality control enterprise for video-on-demand platforms, I watch all kinds of movies everyday, but this stands out.

I walked out of the theater saying, "That was amazing. Just amazing." My family agreed and we talked about it that night and the next morning, figuring it out, exchanging what we remembered and admiring the creative staging and story telling. I think it was well thought out and the story told well, surprises that I then realized were logical. I thought the acting very good, especially as the actors changed extremely over time. We were still a little confused about the conclusion's explanation, but I think we understood most of the logic -- it helped to have multiple people discussing it and remembering pieces. When the old guys start talking, you need to listen.

Winner of the most amazingly bizarre and wonderful movie I've ever seen. Since always, the fact of time and how opportunities come and go seemed to be a mystery to me, not the definitions themselves - those are pretty clear- but how we spend them or, rather say, waste them.Like Oliver's brother said, "we spend our lives waiting for the end of the day and another to come so we can end the stage where we are and it will finally get better; but when it comes, we realize that yesterday was much better and that, unfortunately, we can't return it". The Incident has left me with a very good taste, with so many questions but mostly a lot of answers; and with the beating conclusion that the moments are so fleeting that we must enjoy every single one, we don't know from what circumstances are our parallel "I's" coming through – an infinite railway, an endless road or a hall with no last– so we can stay where we're at. Ezban is now one of my favorite persons in the world, I've had the pleasure to see him at the Cabo Film Fest and, what a paradox, I wasted the chance to take a picture with him. Anyways, this film is a representation of the sacrifices you have to do to live life as you've imagined it. Can't wait to see Isaac's future films, this one is from afar a pretty cool full of metaphors movie!

A stunning debut by Mexican writer and director Isaac Ezban, "The Incident", is a mind-boggling, mind-blowing sci-fi thriller, that in a very unique and elegant manner, presents us with an endearing glimpse into the most profound depths of our all-too humane existence... timeless mazes of our recurring patterns and the very roots of our uttermost mistakes and inevitable realizations. However, by no means should you let such complex, and sometimes even terrifying doubts and uncertainties that do in fact pursue us day and night, stop you from watching this powerful film that graces the big screen with hypnotic imagery and a custom-made soundtrack, that shelters each and every single moment and emotion evoked throughout the entire film. Highly insightful, yet enchanting as well, this story challenges the viewer, without saturating the senses. As crude and real, as it is fascinating and creative; impossible not to relate entirely to each and every one of the characters, this film leaves us wondering how it is that we as humans function in society? How do we relate to each other, and to our lives in general? What are the actual drives and motives for each and every one of our actions, and how do they relate to our overall place in time and space and civilization. Yes, it has everything one should expect to find in any and all classic and legendary sci-fi films, but from the fresh and renovated view of this brilliant young writer, that re-boosts our understanding of science fiction, bringing fiction and reality frighteningly close to each other, leaving it up to each and every one of us, to find the answers we seek, once we learn to understand and appreciate the weight and value of every moment and decision we take, and follow through…the only way out is to keep going. DO NOT miss out on this film… a rising star!
