There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

Review: As soon as I saw the zombies at the beginning of the movie, I lost total interest. Not only did they look completely stupid, the storyline that followed afterwards was really weak and uninteresting. The acting also didn't help and the ridiculous scene with the dead lady and the baby just went to far. As usual, the promoters put Danny Trejo on the front cover when he isn't really in the movie. The few scenes that he did have were promising but they didn't last long. As for the storyline, the whole vaccine search for the zombies has been used to death so the concept wasn't that great. I think that you can tell that I didn't enjoy this movie at all so keep this one off of your rental list. Bad!Round-Up: I honestly think that the director was trying to make a cheap version of I Am Legend, but failing miserably. I wasn't expecting that much from the film so I wasn't overally disappointed, but I was expecting some sort of entertainment. Like most of his movies, Trejo seems like he's just in it for the quick payday and the other acting are just happy to be on screen. Mariel Hemingway used to be quite popular in her earlier years, but she has really gone down hill. The same goes for LeVar Burton who used to be in the Star Trek series with them weird thinks over his eyes. Basically there isn't anything good to say about the film.I recommend this movie to people who are into there zombie movies about a group of people trying to find the vaccine to cure the killer zombies. 1/10

We finally watched this on the SciFi channel over the weekend and I still am not sure whether to call it a Horror movie or a Comedy Horror. It was actually so terrible that I laughed at the cheesy plot and 'effects' throughout the entire movie while wondering what happened to Levar Burton's career that drove him to appear in this. And French Stewart and Mariel Hemingway playing scientists was so completely unbelievable that it still gives me giggles thinking about it.The zombie baby looks just like the one from the most recent retake of Dawn of the Dead and was probably created by the same effects company. Both the birth scene and the doll/zombie baby was laughably bad.

Shocker of shockers, this is a piece of crap. I know this news will startle many of you. How could this possibly go wrong, you say? A cheaply produced zombie flick with bad special effects and a cast of has-beens and never-weres? It has classic written all over it. Yet somehow this master formula fails. It would be easy for me to blame the movie's failure completely on the Hollywood Squares cast led by Mariel Hemingway (who, no joke, I thought was deceased) and the now-elderly and overweight Danny Trejo. But the cast is only a symptom of a much larger disease: namely The Asylum, the absolute worst production company in the industry today. Possibly worst ever. They make all that terrible SyFy channel garbage we all watch and hate. It's become popular in recent years to bestow some "so bad it's good" badge upon these movies. That's unfortunate because it just encourages more subpar waste like this is produced. This movie sucks. Don't watch it.

I love trashy horror movie. Movies with a budget of 5 thousand dollars but they still manage to make a good movie out of it. The excellent cheapo movie swamp zombies springs to mind. Cheap but they pushed to the boat out as far as possible. Martial arts and zombies make a good mix.I watched the preview of Rise of the zzzzzzz before venturing into the movie. It certainly seems to have a budget. It also has some fading stars in it. Basically the plot goes like this. The last remaining survivors are hold up on Alcatraz. The zombies cannot get there. Think again the zombies attack. Zzzzzzzzzz Then the have to go on the run to get the serum to save the world. Zzzzzzz This is feeble stuff. You do not like anyone because they fail to build up the characters at the start. Though it has to be said that there is a dog in it. That is why I give it one star. The dog is cute. If you do not like dogs this is a 0 out of 10 movie.Bad effects, bad story, bad dialogue, bad pacing, bad musics but a good dog.Really I wish I had not bothered.
