Cop Out (2010)
Detectives Jimmy and Paul, despite nine years as partners, can still sometimes seem like polar opposites—especially when Paul's unpredictable antics get them suspended without pay. Already strapped for cash and trying to pay for his daughter's wedding, Jimmy decides to sell a rare baseball card that's worth tens of thousands. Unfortunately, when the collector's shop is robbed and the card vanishes with the crook, Paul and Jimmy end up going rogue, tracking down the card and the drug ring behind its theft, all on their own time and without any backup—except for each other.

Just what I expected
Good start, but then it gets ruined
Absolutely brilliant
Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
With the talents of Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan and a Hollywood size budget. I can't believe how someone could write such a lame script.Tracy Morgan was the only good thing about this Movie. He was funny despite a meh ish script.Bruce Willis was a boring straight man. He's only really interesting when he has a good script because he is a uninteresting actor,which he did not have in this filmThe storyline is very generic and boring and garners no interest for the action.There were a few good moments with Tracy Morgan like in the beginning and his Wikipedia facts about apes giving oral that NEARLY made me laugh out loud but that's all.
Cop Out (2010): Dir: Kevin Smith / Cast: Bruce Willis, Tracey Morgan, Seann William Scott, Ana de la Reguera, Rashida Jones: A very different comedy from director Kevin Smith and although it is entertaining, it hardly compares with his best work such as Chasing Amy and Clerks. This one is somewhat a charade as two cops, played by Bruce Willis and Tracey Morgan are suspended. When Willis is met to pay for his daughter's wedding, he decides to sell a rare baseball card, only he loses the card when the place is robbed. Then Willis and Morgan are thrown into the middle of a violent battle regarding drug lords, Mexican women in car trunks, and spousal suspicions. Willis and Morgan have superb chemistry that allows viewers to forgive the fact that this is the umpteenth buddy cop flick. Willis is caught up on disappointing his daughter, and Morgan has major trust issues in regarding his marital issues. Seann William Scott steals scenes as a criminal who originally stole the baseball card. When he is put in a position to help the cop duo he ends up in a sudden fatal situation. Ana de la Reguera plays a standard damsel who is found in a car trunk and speaks little English. She will cut between being kidnapped and rescued constantly. Rashida Jones is a complete waste as Morgan's wife whom he fears is cheating on him when in reality she is likely attempting to flee the set to a better film. There is absolutely nothing original in this film, which is ashamed given the director's reputation. Conclusion is a litter of bullets with faceless villains always being used as target practice, but it never cops out on its target audience. Score: 4 ½ / 10
I really enjoy Bruce Willis in about everything he does.. this one he wasn't near as rough and tumble as usual , he was really funny in this one. the story goes something like this.. Bruce's character has to pay for a wedding which he can't afford, because him and his partner got suspended because of a bad drug bust, his partner think 's his wife is cheating on him so he set's up a video camera in their bedroom,, so back to bruce, he decides to sell a rare baseball card worth lot's of money to pay for his daughter's wedding and make sure that the step dad doesn't show him up,, plans get foiled when the guy he sold it to his store get's robbed by the same bunch who him and his partner busted.. very funny movie,, good action and buddy cop laughs , not as good as other Bruce Willis movies ,, this one is more for the laughs.. and sorta of a spoof in many ways of earlier buddy cop films.
I don't know what the hell is wrong with you haters, you don't expect a serious comedy movie when Tracy Morgan is in it's hilarious,i laughed my head off. You all just keep saying what fans blah blah blah bunch of f**king movie nerds,saying the plots are stupid the acting is bad,well, tracy morgan is in it, if there are good acting, the movie will be underrated any way , so is that really important? it's a comedy movie ppl,wake the f**k up. want a goofy time? best freaking choice.it just doesn't make sense while the transformers have higher scores,when their plots are much much slower,the acting is much more worse, and they got 6.3.but in this COMEDY MOVIE,which do NOT have to be serious about,some stupid wieners come out and say OH THE ACTING/SOUNDTRACK/PLOTS, why don't you boring f**ks just GTFO,and let the ppl have some laughs
