This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

I was excited to watch this movie when Epix1 had it running for free on August 11, 2017. Tyler Perry's movies are usually GREAT but when I started to watch it, I was bored within the first 15 mins of the movie and then the acting OMG was TERRIBLE especially this Hatti and Aunt Bam characters. That was the worst acting I have ever seen in 61 years of my life. The whole movie dragged itself out to a point that I couldn't wait for it to get over (Yes I could have changed the channel but I was hoping there was a good part coming at some point). What I really thought was disgusting though, was the daughter (Tiffany) who was so defiant of her father and her mouth was a major turnoff because we are living in a world now where there is so much of that taking place in homes across the states. Kids are becoming dangerous today and horrible to be around! The disrespect shown by these young people is something that parents need to get a handle on before their son or daughters cause them harm or someone else. Young people today in reality have parents scared to death to discipline them which is leaving society with a terrifying and out of control generation. It's not a joke!!! We have a serious problem today with a lot of young people and their disrespect they have for their parents, adults, elderly people and animals. I am sorry but I did not enjoy the movie at all and the only reason I gave it a 2 rating was because of Tyler Parry playing Grandpa, now he was good in that part and I did enjoy him BUT that Hatti and Aunt Bam character OMG poor poor acting! I will not recommend this movie to anyone but the rest of his movies, yes!

so sweet and so funny! I know people have their opinions about Tyler Perry...but I love him and I think that he is so talented and so funny. Madea is awesome and she is so funny and just a really likable character. I will always love his stories because they always have a great message and I love how he believes in Jesus and I love the faith aspect in his movies. This is a great movie and I will love to see it every Halloween.

Somebody needs to tell Tyler Perry his one-trick pony (a/k/a Madea) has been beaten to death. Boo! A Madea Halloween is a perfect example. The same recycled, hackneyed, one-note, shallow, and unfunny situations are present again--complete with the same people. At least this one wasn't about some beaten down black woman/girl who needed to find her place in the world, stand up to her man, and ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz. It is mind boggling how he can pop out these POS and always manage to attract an audience. Madea's answer to everything is violence. If that is not bad enough, Perry is now blatantly stealing comedic material from DEAD people, i.e. the line "beat her till the white meat shows" is a line straight out of the late Bernie Mac's "Kings of Comedy" routine. Shameful. And if he thinks for a minute that I believe anybody could go to a frat party and NOT find drugs, liquor, or copulation, well, he is a fool.Rated PG-13. I would rather watch a cow scratch its ass on a fence than another installment of this crap.
