Kham is the last in long line of guards who once watched over the King of Thailand's war elephants. The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Very disappointing. Sadly this sequel went like so many other movie sequels, and that is down the toilet. The movie basically failed to capture you in the beginning and I literally lost interest shortly after that. Fight scenes overall is below average. If you haven't seen the first one, then this movie may have been OK, but if you've seen the first one ... well, we both can shake our heads in disappointment. So, what went wrong? They went away from what brought them success in the fist movie. First movie gave us (somewhat) new, cutting edge stunt works, second movie just tried to recycle what they did (not the concept of giving something 'new'). First movie gave us unremarkable people who knows how to fight (which resulted in great fight scenes!). Second movie gave us (somewhat) flashy people who doesn't know how to fight. RZA, really? RZA?? Yayaying?? Which resulted in lame, sleep inducing fight scenes. So yeah, like many others have said, don't waste your time on this ... especially if you've seen the first one.

The only positive for this movie was the continuity of the main characters. The fight scenes were atrocious, I was expecting to see some of Tony Jaa's fantastic martial arts moves such as the ones displayed in the Ong Bak series or even the ones displayed in this movies predecessor (The Protector 1).The CG graphics were also horrible and choppy giving the whole movie a slap-dash amateur appearance. The story was badly written, and filled with plot holes. If that wasn't bad enough most of the actor's were.....unbelievable.This whole thing sux, we saw what Tony Jaa is capable of delivering in the Ong Bak series......His agent should have never let him do this movie, and probably deserves to be fired.Attention Thai movie producers! If you wanted to save money by paying for those cheesy graphics.....here's an idea......write the explosions OUT of the script......the story is supposed to be about a dude getting his elephant back......better choreographed fight scenes with no cheesy/choppy CG explosions would've caused me to give this movie a better review.

I gotta admit, when it came to the story it's worse this time. However it's more fast paced and I thought it did a better job of transitioning into the fight sequences was done much better in this. It's not really a boring martial arts flick until the fight scene between Tony Jaa and Marrese Crump round one (which is the based scene in the movie in my opinion). After the 43 minute mark the movie goes downhill. Tony Jaa and the other stunt people uses quite a bit of wire works this time around. And the CGI and the special effects are pretty darn bad. I don't even know why they put it into the trailers with a girl smacking a guy with her hair in a serious fist fight. RZA is in this movie and the reasons he is probably in it, is because he is a fan of "Ong-Bak", martial arts movies, does a bit of martial arts practicing himself and he wanted to play a gangster mobster boss. However his acting is awful and comedic, he can't really do stunt or fight choreography that well. So Tony Jaa has to act weak while fighting him. This is a bland and lame sequel that tries to be cool with the rock music playing in the background. So many elements gets wasted in this movie, like the ranking with the numbers when it comes to the fighters. It really is pointless. Overall, if it didn't lose the entertainment value after the 43 minute mark, probably could have been better than the first one.4/10

Great movie 10 out of 10 because I wouldn't want to get hit with a spinning kick, but I'd pay to see it. Wow though, just wow.. to me, the critics just sniffed a 2 year old full loaf of moldy bread and took a soccer kick to the groin 5 seconds later, laughing while they did it. Smart strong hearted people can ignore certain things, but the less informed tend to get kicked in the face. rza and tony jaa are no doubt gifted in the martial arts category, basically a bad fight choreographer makes a bad movie, not graphics or impossible odds. i've seen all of tony jaa's movies more then 10 times, i listen to Wu-tang clan, a lot, i don't know man, I liked this movie as it should be the the worlds greatest action film. You're cheering for the rapist if you think this movie is bad.
