I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Pacino and DeNiro, an unbeatable combination but then add a load of A list actors and you have a recipe for a seriously good movie. A clever story with an unexpected twist, generally well acted and well worth watching. Retained for future viewing.

This was okay. I know they were trying to recapture the magic of Heat but somehow this just never quite grabbed me. Al Pacino does a great job and it was fun seeing him back together with Robert DeNiro but ultimately this was just another routine cop movie, pretty average considering.They play partners of 30 years who should be ready for retirement, but aren't. Before they can hang up their badges, they are called in to investigate the murder of a notorious pimp, who appears to have ties to a case they solved years before. The similarities between the recent killings and their earlier case raise a nagging question: Did they put the wrong man behind bars? I will admit to not predicting the twist at the end (which was pretty cool and cleverly disguised) however bottom line these two screen legends were just too old for their roles. We needed 40 year old cops not 60+ year olds. As police detectives they should have or would have been retired. Heat is still a great movie though 04.11

...dialog was better, I don't like dialog in this movie, most of the time was poor, without any good ideas, without passion and so on. Also directing was also terrible, I don't like how some or most of the scenes shown in this movie, I had a feeling that something is missing there or that they were too fast satisfied with the individual scenes and they didn't do enough for better scenes.What I like in this movie are Robert De Niro and Al Pacino(I like first little more), also I like Carla Gugino because she was hot in this movie:) That why I gave this movie 4/10 stars.Maybe was mistake for such a movie(it's not movie like Heat) to put two big stars like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in same movie and both have main role. Maybe one character needs younger actor beside (I think Turk could be younger detective, and Rooster could be De Niro or Pacino)What I like in this movie beside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino is the story. I like almost the whole story, so I feel that movie could be much much better with better dialog, with better directing and with only one big star on main role.

Righteous Kill is a better than average movie with a decent storyline that is certainly a lot more promising that it turned out and a great cast.I was really excited to watch this movie,the story sounded so original and thrilling,and with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the leads I thought it was definitely going to be great,and while it was certainly not awful,it was very disappointing.De Niro and Pacino's performance a good,but it was enough to making up for the screenplay that has a lot less thrills and excitement that I thought and is at times very predictable.I felt like the cast only did this for money because I find it unlikely that they genuinely thought it was a great script,however,the cast is definitely the reason why I am not giving this movie a lower score,because their professional acting made some really poorly written scenes much more bearable.Righteous Kill is not an awful film,it certainly is watchable,but unless you just want to see every film with Robert De Niro or Al Pacino,you're better off avoiding this one.Two New York cops investigate a series of murders where the victims are criminals who have escaped justice.
