A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

Looking at all four movies it's difficult to decide which is the most disappointing, but I think it's this.Like the other three movies, Wild Green Yonder is confusing and more interested in cramming zany ideas into a rambling plot than being funny, but at least the others had an *actual* ending.Presumably the main problems come from trying to make WGY (and the other movies) a story as both one movie and three episodes. Family guy did this better, and after the terrible first movies the writers should have looked there.I was thrilled when I heard there was going to be more Futurama, now I'm hoping it's over.

As the summary says: They must have saved the worst Futurama film for last. I finally got the DVD yesterday and man i was disappointed. The story of this particular futurama movie was more simple than the other futurama movies - but boring as hell. All the other Futurama movies had very complex stories with weird things going on all the time - and they were all entertaining and funny. This latest and fourth movie is just about weird things. The script is better structured than the previous movies. There are fewer plot-holes, BUT!!! it is a very boring story compared to all of the rest of the movies. The part about Leela joining the space-hippie-feminists were not funny. Nor were the tin foil hat stuff with Fry.Throughout the movie i just looked at the timer and said to my self: isn't this movie over yet! But it wasn't. It just did go on and on.Im sure that most Futurama-people at this point in Futuramas history had gone on to more interesting projects. Because the spirit of Futurama was gone in this last movie. All Futurama fans should of course watch it, but prepare to be disappointed.

Now I have read through most of the comments here and I was genuinely surprised to find people criticising this movie especially so heavily. I would say this is the second best of the movies with Bender's Big Score being the best. I admit that Bender's Game was a bit of a let down but this one really brings back the standard. I do not think there is anything in it that I would really criticise. It also has a touching moment at the between Fry and Leela for those who have watched him follow her all through the series with no real hope of ever being with her. And like at the start of Bender's Big Score the end uses some phrases that can be interpreted for the futurama universe and in ours with the professor saying "We may never return". All in all a good watch and worth buying.-Heres desperately hoping they will continue ins some form. Episodes or movies.

Let's remember that, for some reason, the movie futuramas just aren't as good as the show. So keep those expectations realistic. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fourth (and last?) movie. The first one is unarguably the best, but this one is a close second in my opinion. I think one thing the movie really has going for it is how much better it is than the last one. My expectations were low...fearful, in fact. Probably two minutes into the movie I knew this one would be different, and it was. It felt more like futurama again. Of course, this movie has some flaws. Some plots are painfully undeveloped, and there seem to be many glossed over characters and situations. Still, on a joke by joke basis, it works. It still just makes me miss the show, but at least I'll look forward to watching this movie again.
