Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

This was seriously one of the two worst movies I've seen in my life. Worse than Surf Nazis Must Die, worse than Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS, worse than Bloodsucking Freaks, worse than The Piano. The only movie I've seen that was about this bad was Stuff Stephanie in the Incinerator. It starts sort of OK, except the dialogue is ham-handed and painful, and the main characters seem to live in a warehouse full of radiators. There's a definite furniture shortage in the whole movie. They intuit an entire divinely-inspired love poem from eight heiroglyphics carved into a sheet of drywall. Bizarre illuminati who meet people from the balcony of a ballroom (also with no furniture) are unimpressed. And that's the end of the part of the movie that even halfway makes sense. The rest is just so weird, and painful weird, not kooky fun weird. The robot duel, the mystery god prison, the weird hitwoman, the unexplained sidekick in the party hat, the two-second knife sharpening, the plucky waitress in the contaminated restaurant, the requirement to strip naked that comes out of nowhere and is just accepted, the murder followed by it's a dream followed by no wait it was a murder, the race of paleolunar humans whose defining characteristic is sideboob, and all of the shit that went down on the moon - none of it makes any sense.I was left with a profound sense of sorrow and self-loathing. This was a terrible movie.

As of this moment, Moontrap is ranking 73-up to 15-down from YouTube viewers. While not a great or very good movie, it is way better than a cargo ship of bad movies one can watch. These people reviewing at IMDB must've been expecting a blockbuster and got knocked over by the less than star-power big-budget directing product. But it's a perfectly fine clearly presented outcome. And the acting is okay too. Plus the added benefit of a plot that has not already been done to death. The soundtrack is quite professional, neither hokey or overdone. The lead actress carries her role. And the bad guy gets the job done as well. One issue that does often fail for me is when supporting actors are given lead roles in certain lower-budget films. There seems to be a disappointment in realizing they are unable to carry a scene. Strangely though, the same exact performance would probably be just fine from a different face, an unknown actor. Maybe that's because we've seen the supporting actors next to bigger talent and get reminded of that powerful screen presence because of seeing only the supporter, not the larger figure he has been in scenes with during other movies. I would advise producers for that reason to not put supporting actors in lead roles. It's just about money anyway, playing on the name for box office. That gamble might fail due to the psychological effect just mentioned.Okay, so remove expectations coming in. You get a perfectly worthy background movie for letting play while dusting or looking at cameras on eBay. And plenty of scenes are worth glancing over to see what is accompanying the sound.Anyway, I have no reviewing skill but wanted to jump in to correct what looks to me like an injustice done to a nice little movie done fairly well by a cast and crew of people who no doubt put their heart into the project.

It's a pity! Doesn't worth to download and watch. Just a waste of time. ı thought ı was watching a "historic" sci-fiction movie. The story is so absurd that, the technology that made a space craft ages ago can make robots that can hardly move! By the way, space craft is like the DSL modem ı'm using at home:) No stars!

I will watch almost anything. So I started with an open mind. I give 5- 7 stars for originality, ambition, and commitment for the movie. Location and set were OK, 4-5. CGI and effects, 3-5. I hate to even score them for poor effects-not everyone has million $ budget. It seemed like they had a decent film crew and editing staff. I would give the actors 5-7 for their work - some better than others. The acting for the most was fair. But there was just too much of an awkwardness at scene endings that kept seeming to get more pronounced and irritating. I believe the story/script & direction caused this to go off the rails quickly. So ultimately, for everything combined (and I couldn't finish) - it's a 2 for me.
