Talaash was released after Kahaani, which was a brilliant movie. Considering the fact that Talaash was released after it, it makes people expect more from this movie. I'm not saying that the movie was bad or anything, but it missed out on something that you realize after the movie is over. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was, asusual, mind- blowing. His acting skills make him stand apart and he creates a place for himself in the movie. A different place. You know how the lead actor gets all the obvious credits he's entitled to just because he's the lead actor and the character artists have to claw their way to the top? That's what Nawazuddin Siddiqui does. Although, I feel that he overshadowed Aamir Khan, I also feel that Aamir Khan did a decent job in portraying himself as a policeman. He couldn't pull Marathi though. 😅 But it's understandable, it's not his first language hence, we can't expect much, can we? Rani Mukherjee plays Aamir Khan's wife, who's traumatized by her son's death, for which Aamir Khan blames himself. Kareena Kapoor escorts Aamir Khan throughout his case investigation and the movie ends with an unexpected supernatural climax. Pretty unexpected! In conclusion, since it's a suspense movie, you can't watch it again and again. But the entire team and crew members have done a commendable job by not making another pseudo intelligent movie just for the sake of doing something out of box. Thank you very much, for that!

This movie is a lot like lost. It seems like it is building up to some epic conclusion, with a brilliant set up to the ending. It does a great job of setting up a murder mystery and keeping the viewer engaged with a decent plot. That is, a decent plot until the ending. When I was expecting some brilliant explanation to how the murders took place, all the film could come up with is BECAUSE GHOST. Sure that's fine for a horror film or a film based in some fantasy world with well defined parameters, but when a director bases his film as a murder mystery in the real physical world this is basically the worst cop out imaginable. The ending ruins the entire film. Not worth watching because of this.

I went to see Talaash with an open mind. Hoped Aamir and crew would have something for me. Furthermore, I wanted to see what Katagi had to offer after her fabulous debut!Aamir is good, as alwaysI wish there was more of Rani Mukherjee in the film, she was her character, but wish there was more of her. Rajkumar seems like the next big thing; he's calm and silent.. kinda coolHowever, it is Kareena Kapoor who steals the show with her cheesy lines, mischievous eyes and subtle look.. A good film after her incredibly touching and funny Honeymoon Travels! glad i saw it..

This is one of the best suspense and thriller movies from Bollywood that I have seen in the recent past. Everything is spot on, lights, cinematography, screenplay, action, and superb performances by the cast. Aamir Khan is again Mr.Perfectionist in this role as an investigating police officer. Kareena also gives a power-packed performance in her role as the prostitute and Rani Mukherjee as the wife, also does a good job. Among the supporting cast, Nawazuddin Siddiqui does a brilliant performance as Tamer. The pace of the movie is just right and keeps you hooked on till the very end. The movie also very well captures the dark underbelly of Mumbai and the red-light district with the opening song 'Muskaan Jhootein Hai'. The other songs of this soundtrack album like 'Jeele Zara', 'Jiya Lage Na' and 'Lakh Duniya Kahe' are also very good. The songs also blend very well with the movie, and you don't feel interrupted because of the songs. However, the ending was a little flawed and slightly disappointing. Could have given it a 10/10 if the ending of the movie was better. But still, it definitely deserves a watch at the theatre at least once. You will definitely come away with a smile on your face after seeing this movie.
