On a high mountain plain lives a lamb with wool of such remarkable sheen that he breaks into high-steppin' dance. But there comes a day when he loses his lustrous coat and, along with it, his pride. It takes a wise jackalope - a horn-adorned rabbit - to teach the moping lamb that wooly or not, it's what's inside that'll help him rebound from life's troubles.

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

BOUNDIN' is a bright and colorful short by Pixar about a sheep that loves to jump and bounce. However, his bounce disappears the day he is shorn and the spring in his step is slow in returning. It is all told through narration that sounds rather reminiscent of Gene Sheppard (though it's Bud Luckey) and it seems to be aimed mostly towards the kids.I have seen BOUNDIN' a few times and I must say that it is enjoyable and well made--which you have come to expect from a Pixar film. However, it isn't among the best shorts by Pixar (despite a snappy narration) and didn't seem as groundbreaking or strange as HARVIE KRUMPET--which just had an odd little charm about it that made much more impact on me as a viewer. The bottom line is that the animation is top-notch, but the story itself rather limp. This probably is why although both films were nominated for the Best Animated Short Oscar, KRUMPET won--the story was simply more involving.

What a fantastic short, I couldn't stop laughing, Life always throws up the unexpected, and when someone wise is there to help, all the better, hey? Fantastic lyrics, music, and all round performance buy the ever-young Bud Luckey, one of Pixar's original animators. I wish more shorts approached animation with this super fun attitude. The rhythmic poetry is simply captivating and inspiring, brilliance throughout. Pixar are everyones favourites and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Birds is equally fantastic and funny, just lacking the genius of this shorts lyrics. This short is now available on video podcast from itunes music store, and is well worth the £1.89 price.

My Children are in love with this short and so am I. My kids 2 & 4 try to do both the high steppin dance and the bound. They love the characters and gasp with an "oh no" when the truck rumbles up. Then they get sad with the sheep once he is sheared, only to cheer when the Jackalope arrives.I know of no other cartoon that had done all of that in less than 5 minutes for my kids. Finding out that Bud Luckey also did the Aligator King for Sesame Street just makes this short even sweeter. The nerd in me must also comment that the animation is amazing and beautiful. Now I can only hope that more shorts and cartoons will take on both the quality of this animation as well as the quality of stimulation for kids....and I love it too....I guess the kid in me just loves the song, the colors, the story, the characters and the voice.

We just got the "The Incredibles" DVD. I hadn't seen the theatrical release (can't stand going to movie theaters anymore). "Boundin'" is among the extras on disc 2. I saw it for the first time last night and already I've watched at least eight times. It's very sweet, and the music and cadence is appealing. Something about the innocence of it reminds me of early Disney material, but it's not so sentimental as that. Writer/director/narrator Bud Lucky is obviously a gentle soul with a keen sense of character. I hope he gets to helm more projects for Pixar. All in all, it's a delightful 4 minutes and some-odd seconds.
