A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

"They all disappear"That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. They all disappear, then the credits roll. Thats literally it. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining, but it kinda feels like the whole movie was pointless and went nowhere. From the start they introduce little clues and hints that make you think there will be a twist at the end but there isn't. The little notes left behind by the former guests, the lack of animals/insects, the severe temperature shifts, the lights going out at the exact moment they call for help, all of these elements are pointless. Its not very good writing when certain key events are emphasized, then go nowhere. What was the point in mentioning the lack of animals? What was the point in the severe temperature shifts? What was the reason for mentioning (an emphasizing) the importance of finding the gas pump key if no one ever tries to look for it? In mystery-esque movies like this I always make a point to remember when something is mentioned that might be of importance later on. You get that "AHA!" moment when a character stumbles upon something they mentioned needed in the beginning, or when the climax happens and you go "Now I get it!" when all or at least some of the pieces fit together. Not here, not with this movie. My major issue was the constant emphasis on the temperature shifting. First they say its unseasonably warm, then they discover that the lake froze over rather quickly, trapping a boat in the center, then there's snow on the ground after nightfall and no one knows how the temperature dropped 50 degrees in a matter of hours. They keep mentioning the changing temperature outside, but in the end it was pointless to mention as it had absolutely no bearing on the plot of the story. I would say you should give this movie a shot if you're up for an entertaining little thriller, but don't bother thinking too much or looking to deep into anything as nothing ever comes together. Remember, "They all disappear" literally sums up the first scene to the last.

After looking at the review overall score I was somewhat doubting whether to watch this film but I decided to give it a shot and make my own mind up..... not disappointed. It's not a film that will give you all the answers you want but it's certainly a film that will make you guess what's coming next. It's not a gore fest or typical horror, more like a twilight-zone-esque type film....I'm not going to say much as the beauty in the film is not knowing..... just give it a try and maybe, like me, you won't be disappointed... whatever you do though, don't blink.

After viewing Don't Blink, I thought it was kinda of strange when there friends were disappearing why they didn't just walked away after they could not get any gas.Anyway, I just saw it again for the 4th time and I saw the film in a different way. All-in-All it's a good film.Ps. I thought the ending was good. Too bad they didn't go into these guys and the place.

Ten people arrive at a secluded mountain resort to find it completely deserted. With no gas for the return trip, the visitors are forced to stay and investigate the mystery surrounding the abandoned lodge........It starts off all well and good, just like any other horror mystery. We have a gang of people whom some of are recognisable from days of glory past, and some you vaguely remember from a guest appearance from some long forgotten TV show. And this is the norm for horror films, the more famous you are, the more likely you'll survive, unless you put in a special guest appearance and leave quite early on.So the gang reach an abandoned place where it looks like the residents a have just gone out for a walk, but no, something sinister is afoot, and it's not long before the characters start to shout at each other and act strange. And that's the film basically.People disappear one minute, and are never seen again, until we are left with just one person, and no explanation.Considering the film is barely ninety minutes long, it feels like an eternity getting to the end of the film, and what vexes you when you finally come to its lethargic finale, we get nothing more than a cameo from Robert Picardo, reminding you that the last time you saw him, he was about to be assaulted amorously by a Gremlin.Which sounds more appealing than sitting through this rubbish again.
