Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Some people say "best movie." What? It was so bad. The acting was terrible, the writing was terrible and yes it looked like a iPhone. Not in a good way.I turned it off after 20 minutes, and that was me being extremely patient. I live in that area so I know the corner very well and yes that's the crowd that hangs out there, but it was like the filmmakers didn't get it and the lengthy nonsensical dialogue was uninteresting.I was gonna give it one star which it deserves, but just for the effort of the different subject matter and in general the long hard work you put into making a film I give it two stars.

I came to see the iPhone made movie. I stayed for the story. And I was impressed. The actors know the story and they make it live sometimes against the stereotype view of the production team. In the end, Sean Baker wins simply because it's his movie. So everything fizzes to an unsatisfactory end. And the feeling was the story ended simply because it was time to end, not because Baker had any idea what to do with the snapshot in the life of the characters. The camera is good. The visuals are good. The backdrop is excellent by its natural. The song show scene is very well done. But why? The story splits like a piece of rope instead of reaching a conclusion. An admirable chain of short stories.Contact me with Questions, Comments or Suggestions ryitfork @ bitmail.ch

This film tells the story of two transgender prostitutes going around Los Angeles, and an Armenian taxi driver on Christmas Eve. Their day becomes more eventful by the minute.I had no idea what "Tangerine" is about, and I was in for a surprise. The film basically follows the day of the three individuals, and it does so with much realism. There is so much drama in the story, with people shouting and screaming and fighting all the time. The film looks interesting and artsy, but it is not exactly my thing. However, the final showdown in the doughnut shop is hilarious, and makes the rest of the film worth watching.
