It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

I saw this movie a long time ago. When i saw it, my first reaction was not at all to Mena Suvari's character. I enjoyed the bloody scenes, they looked real enough. Now that's something to talk about. So I don't know why most of the reviews here talk about how Mena Suvari looks and how she acts. I don't understand all the people who laugh at Mena being cast for the role she played. She was SUPPOSED to be a white girl living in the hood, it was supposed to be stereotypical. Get over the fact that she was playing the hood-rich white girl who dates the typical hood guy; can't play pretty all the time. It was a good movie. If you are reading these reviews, Don't skip this movie because of some superficial reviews/comments. Its a good little movie. And also it's based on true events.

Stuck is just what the Dr ordered for those sick of the politically correct Hollywood films. Stephen Rea and Mena Suvari are in top form in this over the top delightfully deranged thriller about a woman who hits a bum on the day she heard that she is up for a promotion and instead of doing the right thing she slides down the path of self destruction. Not to be outdone is Russell Hornsby who is the smooth talking drug dealer who is on top of his game as the big cheese crime lord wanna be. When confronted with actually committing a real crime the laughs come at just the right time played perfectly. An absolute must see for independent movies. A wild ride.

A woman accidentally hits a homeless man with her car, causing him to be lodged into the windshield, and then drives home like that. If it weren't based on true events, it would be hard to believe that any person could be so evil as this woman. And to think that she's a nurse! Poorly acted and directed, this exploitation film is mainly a curiosity piece because it's based on fact. The filmmakers could have tried to make the characters something more than one-dimensional caricatures. There is too much emphasis on gore, as the director tries to milk (bleed?) the situation of a man embedded in a windshield for every bit of gruesome effect.

Going around these user comments and outside reviews, I see that some people have labelled "Stuck" as something of a black comedy. Actually, I didn't see it that way. While the movie does have a share of darkly humorous moments, I felt most of the movie was treated straight, as a thriller. And as a thriller, I really enjoyed this movie. The performances are top notch, especially Russell Hornsby playing the boyfriend who talks tough but turns out to be otherwise. There is a lot of suspense as we wonder throughout if the unlucky protagonist will get out of his painful and unfortunate situation or not. Although the movie does seem a little stretched out at times, and the ending is somewhat abrupt, the movie is never boring and will keep you watching until the end.
