While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

In our house, we love both' Boondock Saints I & II--the characters, the story line, the actors. We are very disappointed that we have not seen more. We want to see the prison break--even now after a few years passing-- (and maybe the Da, Billy Connolly, hadn't really died? but was taken away by a priest?). We love them-so will others. Please bring them back!! Use the same actors, like Sean Patrick Flanery, for we love them. It would behoove you TROY DUFFY to make several more of these especially since the rediscovery of the wonderful Norman Reedus. And of course we all want to see Julie Benz again and again! Don't let production numbers or opening money counts stop you from making these movies, please. We know of many people who love the whole concept of these vigilantes, who are also saints. We are seeing many of these now with the comic book vigilante TV shows and movies. We get it! Now it is time to make a comeback, Troy Duffy. Give us what we've been waiting for!!

Not a shred of the original charm remains. It's an animated corpse of a film. Talking of which, what the devil happened to Sean Patrick's face?! Between his plastic surgery and moronic ranting he looks vaguely sub-human. Basically, scenes from the original 'Boondock Saints' are remade into stilted, feeble replicas. It's witless, poorly written and desperate. If you loved the original (and I did) please do yourself a favour, resist the temptation and avoid this mess. At least that way, the magic of the first film will remain untarnished in your memory!(Imdb want more lines, so Im padding.)

I still can't understand why for so many people this one is a must see. I have seen the first one and I wasn't that happy with the result. Here it's just the same as part 1 except that this time it's a bit exaggerated. It's the part of Special Agent Eunice Bloom (Julie Benz) that I didn't like at all. Normally I don't have any problems with Julie but this time she's going over the top. And it tears this flick seriously down. I can't say anything more then if you have liked the first entry you surely will like this part. It's just a copy of that one. But by copying part 1 there's nothing new to found except that it becomes a bit more ridiculous in some ways on part of the so-called humour added now that a Mexican (Clifton Collins Jr.) is helping out the saints. In the first entry Rocco was taken seriously but here it's just one big joke with cheesy situations. No, for me this isn't a cult flick or a must see. Very disappointed by the Boondock Saints.Gore 1/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 2/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5

After discovering the first Boondock Saints in high school, it instantly became my all-time favorite movie. I've lost track of how many times I've watched the movie over the years, or how many times my husband and I have laughingly quoted some of our favorite lines. So when I first heard they were doing a sequel, I was thrilled. Especially when -after such a long amount of time in-between- they even had a lot of the original cast. Could this get any better? And then, my husband watched it with his brother one night. Came home, and told me not to even bother. I was shocked. It couldn't be that bad right? He assured me that it would even taint the first one for me.I couldn't believe that. There was no possible way. And yet... when I sat down and watched this god-awful train wreck of a movie, I couldn't even force myself past the first twenty-five minutes.I'm not even sure where to begin with this. The terrible script, and crappy, awkward dialogue? The idiot who was supposed to be Rocco's replacement? Whoever that stupid, horrible acting bimbo was? The horrible, crappy villains? This movie was probably the biggest sequel disappointment I've ever seen. And my husband was right... While I still love the first movie, I can't watch it without thinking of this fail movie.
