This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

This is the second worst piece of multicultural propaganda dressed as horror / thriller I have ever seen. A group of people of various ethnic and religious backgrounds do some bad things, then they visit some strange guy and nothing much happens. The only thing that connects them is absolute lack of any moral values, they are simply a bunch of idiotic jerks who want to get drunk and copulate but remember, most of them are Muslims. To be honest, the picture of this "new French youth" is probably the most horrifying part of the movie. It somehow shows France as the country that descends into middle-ages tribal and completely amoral culture.What happened to the France that started to make such movies? Why are we presented with such stupid vomit with no thrills and horror? Why we are faced by "sheitan" which is Islamic word for devil, even when this devil is somewhat supposed to be somewhat related to the Christmas? What is the meaning of most scenes in the movie? Are we just supposed to get sick with it? Note: The "worst" grade still applies to the "Attack the Block" piece of multicultural crap made in Britain that not only lacks horror, but promotes violence of young immigrants as something, well, admirable and adorable. And that pile of crap was made with the use of public money that makes it somewhat worse than this pile of crap.But some bare butts and a little blood does not make this pile of crap good thriller. Not by a long shot.

This movie was hilarious! I loved the characters in this film all with their own goofy, perverted and dumbass college aged personalities. It seemed to me that I laughed throughout most of the film but there was still enough gore and horror to keep me interested in the horror side of it.Another thing I can say about this movie was there was a lot of "WTF!" moments. I also have to add that this movie has the nastiest description of a woman's private parts I have ever heard and still shake my head in disgust and amusement at it even days later.I don't want to go into it too much but this movie has become high up on my list for movies I would recommend to people. It is politically incorrect and has constant references to racism, but its more to add to the uneducated hillbilly type character that plays in the movie.If you haven't seen this, watch it. This film was a surprise to me. Surprising in that it had real energy and I liked the acting. Very believable cast and Cassel was once more superb. A real brute of a man. If you are expecting a horror film then you will be disappointed. It is in no way scary. There are a few moments that are unnerving which lend the film a certain edge. You never really know where its going and because of this I enjoyed it. There is no good guy bad guy narrative so it meanders but I did not mind this. It was shot nicely with a few 'doggy cam' touches which are always good if not overused. The ending was also a surprise. It skates along and before I knew it was finished. Packed with clichés but done with a twist. I will be looking out for what Chapiron does next.

Man, this was fun. It is very predictable, but still hilarious. I would hardly call this horror, since it never really tries to be scary. For the most part, it tries to be weird and funny.With a couple of other recent French flicks in mind I'm beginning to think that French people living in cities have even worse an image of their country folk than American metropolitans have of theirs.The predictability is stupid though. Same as with "Haute Tension" the film basically tells you how it's gonna end. HT tells you right in the beginning, Sheitan tells you half-way through. French movie makers seem to wanna create the Anti-Twist-Ending.This really is the French Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Only less massacre.
