This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

Review: I quite enjoyed this hillbilly tale of 3 brothers taking a job which turns out to be full of twists and turns. The acting was great by the cast and the storyline was well put together by the director. The different characters made the movie interesting and the storyline is unpredictable and original in some ways. The various assassins which are after the trio were well put together and Billy Bob Thornton made me laugh. In all it's a great road movie with action and a touch of comedy throughout. If I explain to much about the storyline it will spoil the movie so give it a go. Enjoyable!Round-Up: I haven't seen any of the trio before so I can't really comment on there previous movies, but they put in a good performance in this one. I especially liked the brother that couldn't talk, because he was a proper nut case when it came with dealing with certain assassins. The reason why I gave this movie a to was because of Billy Bob Thornton, who usually makes quite good movies but he has seemed to have gone out of the limelight lately. He's not in the movie that much, but when he's on screen, he cracked me up. A Great Watch!Budget: $4million Worldwide Gross: N/AI recommend this movie to people who are into there action/thriller/comedy movies about 3 brothers getting hunted down by assassins. 6/10

I have no idea who read the script and thought that making this movie was a good idea. The action is so much over-the-top that it is unbelievable and thus not interesting at all.The dialog is so bland and thus not interesting at all.The characters are far away from real human beings, so not interesting at all. This movie reminds me of Tarantino, without the coolness or the interesting dialog, just a copy and also a bad one. You can have a look at it, you might even enjoy it, but there are movies out there which do the job a lot better. And no, the movie is not saved by Eva Longoria or Billy Bob Thornton, they play their characters like the atmosphere of the whole movie: shallow

'The Baytown Outlaws' is a direct-to-DVD action movie from first time director Barry Battles. Don't let the "Direct-to-DVD" thing scare you. This one is legit. It's so gratifying to know that you can find little gems like this among all the crap that gets feed to us in the theaters (Yeah, I'm talking to you 'Oz the Great and Powerful' and 'Jack the Giant Slayer' and every Jason Statham movie made since 'The Italian Job'). "Baytown" is about three brothers who only know violence and mayhem. They live their life one mark at a time and always looking for the one last big score. They find it in smoking hot Eva Longoria. She commissions them to get back her god son from the evil clutches of drug lord Carlos (Billy Bob Thornton). Thornton plays the same character he's played over the past couple of years ('Bad Santa', 'Bad News Bears'), and I still love it. This movie is a cool blend of other films like 'The Warriors', 'The Way of the Gun', and 'Smokin' Aces'. Its definitely worth a watch and should also restore your faith in the Direct-to-DVD bin. 7.5 out of 10.

For some reason I had been keeping putting this movie off, as I didn't expect it to be much fun. Boy was I wrong. This movie is quite awesome. This is an adrenaline-filled, testosterone-dripping man's movie. The story in "The Baytown Outlaws" is about the Oodie brothers who do dirty and shady jobs for cash. And when they take on the job of reclaiming a boy they might have bitten off more than they could chew..."The Baytown Outlaws" is entertaining in every sense of the word. The storyline is good and has a good, continual flow to the storyline. And the situation evolves nicely as the Oodie brothers get further and further in over their heads. But the cast they had for the movie was really pulling their load and weight of the movie. Clayne Crawford, Travis Fimmel and Daniel Cudmore did really good jobs as the Oodie brothers (Brick, McQueen and Lincoln, respectively). But also a thumbs up to Thomas Brodie-Sangster for his portrayal of Rob, that was just great. I will say that I am usually not much of a fan of Billy Bob Thornton and his soul patch, but he was quite good in the role of the drug dealing boss.As for the characters in the movie, well strap yourself in for a treat, because there were spared no expense in the department of fleshing out and detailing characters. Especially the Oodie brothers, they were just a heap of entertainment in themselves. But also Carlos, his temper and attitude was just plain fun to behold. There is a unique touch to the movie, and I can't really put my finger on it, but I think it is a combination of the acting, the storyline, the gritty feel of the movie and the camera-work all put together."The Baytown Outlaws" really surprised me and it was good entertainment from start to end. This movie can warmly be recommended if you are looking for about 98 minutes worth of great entertainment.
