All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

As with the prequel: Category 6, Day of destruction, The actors in this each did an exceptional job. Great work by Shannon Doherty and her partner in tornado chasing, the iconic Randy Quaid. Very believable responses to the environmental crises. I love the layers of story line, which are quite complex, but rather than omitting them, they add to the depth of the film overall. Great science stats, and coverage of both social, political and economic issues arising from Global Warming. Particularly appreciated the addition of the religious coverage in this, as definitely there can be a fine line between environmental damage by man and what some believe is 'God's punishment'. Really great production on all fronts.

I'll try and keep this short. The acting is really bad and the script is weak. I'm surprised that the celebrities they had playing the lead roles in this film actually agreed to do it; knowing that upon it's release it would be almost certain "career suicide" for them. It's almost like a group of nerdy high school students shot the whole film in a weekend and made the script up as they went a long. Unbelievable story lines, shallow and predictable characters, weak script, cheesy special effects, and the entire film appears to have been shot with a Sony Handicam with a cheap pair of sunglasses placed over the lens to give contrast in light levels. Watching this motion picture was like watching a train wreck. I really feel embarrassed for anyone who had a hand in its creation and distribution. My idea of hell would be the Devil forced us to watch this movie over and over again. I gave it a 1 only because negative numbers aren't possible.

This movie has everything you could ask for: pro environmentalist propaganda; anti religious cynicism; meaningless violence; defacement of patriotic symbols; erratic camera work that gave me a headache; every moment is a high point; countless has-been actors in cameo roles.I think this is another example of a completely synthetic production. They added up years of data taken from observing successful action films of the past and just sort of threw it all together. The nice thing is that it doesn't matter where you come into the movie or where you exit. It is so homogeneous that any portion is an action film unto itself.I realized after a while that it would make a good music video. When I turned off the sound and tuned the radio to a modern rock station, it actually worked. The commercials kind of messed that up. It would have been good to TiVo it and cut them out. Oh well, next time.

This movie has it all! Drama, Excitement, Romance, Suspense, Heartache, Patriotism, & not to forget Bra Straps! I hate to be negative, especially about any film involving the actors of the high quality that were involved in this production. However they have all fallen in the amount of respect I have at the moment.I realize that money is always an issue, and is needed. For some of these folks, I have no doubt hunger (for work!) does guide one to wards decisions that we may later regret. While I would very much prefer to watch this movie again, as opposed to having the stomach flu, it is a close call. The Patriotism that was intended to be instilled failed miserably due to my own personal recent involvement with FEMA, what a !&*? Joke! I remember when the original Poseidon Adventure came out, what was that 30 years ago? Then all those disaster movies that followed? This could fit in there, barely, but it could.Again I am not one to be negative, but safe yourself the trouble, don't waste your time on this movie. It is not the fault of any of the people lending their talents, the writers, or the production staff, they should ll be ashamed of themselves though, and NEVER work for the people responsible for tarnishing their reputation's.But the fault lays fully of the shoulders of whomever was responsible for the funding. Just a money laundering operation........Maybe some food poisoning would make me feel better
