If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
This movie is about a Nigerian refugee, that is illegal in the U.K. he works at a hotel, and lives with another illegal refugee that works at the hotel. His boss is corrupt, and takes organs from illegal refugees, and in return they get passports. He learns that Okwe has a doctor degree from Nigeria and pressures him to help him, and in return he gets a passport. Since Okwe lives her illegal he has a lot of trouble with the people that works to get them out of the country. Since they both are here illegal they have to take shitty jobs, and low pay. their bosses disrespect them, and make them do all kinds of things.the movie has low sound quality, you cannot hear what they say because of the accent and because of the background noise. Do not recommend this movie.
Im not sure what to feel about this movie, it's not good but its far from bad, it's just... painful average both in plot and characters. We follow a illegal immigrant as he struggles with keeping both a job in a hotel and as a taxi driver he falls in love with a Turkish girl working as a maid at the same hotel. The acting was both top notch and from the bottom of the barrel, both Chiwetel Ejiofor and Bennedict Wong are great in this movie whilst Audrey Tautou was... meh, she didn't feel genuine. On a technical level... the movie did even worst. It was impossible to understand them at times making big chunks of the story straight out make no sense!
I think the plot was bad. I don't know if i can say that the actors were good or not, i mostly watch action or horror so this movie was bad, but that's just my opinion. The sounds on the movie, since it was made in 2002 i understand why the sounds and the music were different than movies that are filmed today. I didn't understand, well to say it out, "shit" in the beginning. I didn't understand anything before i came in the middle of the film. Dirty Pretty things is a movie that i would like to give a rating of 4. The reason i give the movie a rating of 4 is because it was not good. It wasn't bad either, but it wasn't my type of film.
Dirty pretty things is about a medical student who has two jobs in some way. He works as a cabby and front desk in Baltic hotel. He discovers an unusual thing happen in room 510. Things don't go so well when his friend shenay. She is a Muslim who works as chambermaid at the hotel. She dreams of living in New York and she goes through a lot to achieve that dream. She receives a visit from immigration service. Both of them are illegal immigrants. Okwe's boss Juan is in a business that performs illegal surgeries and Okwe has no choice but to be part it just so he can be legalized in the U.K.My opinion: this movie was bad and i didn't like it. its just my opinion. it was a slow paced movie and it took time for me to get into it. they were so many unnecessary scenes too. don't worst your time on this movie like i did. what
