When John takes his San Francisco friends to his deceased uncle's remote ranch to hunt wild pigs, it seems like a typical guys weekend with guns - despite the presence of John's sexy girlfriend Brooks. But as John and his crew trek deeper into the forest, they begin tracking the awful truth about his uncle's demise and the legend of The Ripper -- a murderous three-thousand-pound black boar!

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Even though the whole backwoods hillbilly horror thing has been done to death over the years, I never tire of toothless inbreds attacking any city-folk dumb enough to tray onto their turf; throw in a commune of marijuana farming, free loving hippies with a flesh-eating 3000lb mutant pig in their backyard and I'm in hog heaven!Jason X director James Isaac makes amends for his god-awful 2006 werewolf flick Skinwalkers by giving us one of the most enjoyable, bloody and fun films of recent years. Pig Hunt might start in familiar territory, with its typically clichéd group of weekend warrior blokes (and token babe) wishing they had stayed at home after they upset the local rednecks, but it eventually carves its own identity with the introduction of its drug dealing love cult and their prodigious porker. At this point, all logic flies out the window, umpteen hot women get their breasts out, and people start disappearing down the gullet of the biggest boar since Russell Mulcahy's Razorback—and if that ain't quality entertainment, then I don't know what is!7.5 out of 10, rounded up to 8 for IMDb.

The best pig movie is, of course, Razorback. This one is a different pig movie. Think B-Movie expectations and you've got a winner. Crazy at times, opens up in weird directions and gets really loopy. It is entertainment for scary/horror/adventure folks. That's what a movie like this is supposed to do. It does it. Comes with laughs up front and hidden. A good time if your snoot isn't pointed upward. I appreciate it. There is a smear of styles blended in a cool and engaging way. The rednecky thing is stereotyped but works. The Fearsome Bugger is only on screen for the last five minutes of the film but the story is not about "Death Walks On Four Legs", it's about ... we'll, just watch it. If you're wallering around in this neighborhood this is probably the kind of movie you're looking for.

I've seen a lot of animals used for terror - Jaws, boas, alligators, bears, etc., but I have never seen a three-thousand-pound pig. But, the pig is the least of the worries for the group that came out to hunt. One of them killed the brother of these hillbillies that live there. The whole coked-up alcoholic dysfunctional family will be out for revenge. And, into the mix is a hippie commune that worships hogzilla. Now, lots of people are going to die in some very disgusting ways. All the ones you don't like will be dispatched, and little piggies will roam the woods and grow into more killer pigs.Don't look for any great acting or witty writing, just sit back and enjoy the carnage.

I just watched Pig Hunt tonight and i thought that it was a great horror film. It is about a man called John who takes his friends in San Francisco to his deceased uncle's ranch to hunt wild pigs, a guys weekend with guns despite John's sexy girlfriend Brooks being there with them. But as John and his crew go deeper into the forest, they begin to find out the truth about his uncle's death and the legend of The Ripper a murderous 3000 pound black boar pig! They go on an adventure through fields of marijuana and into the muddy landscape of Big Wallow, they are loaded with weapons, they meet the violent Tibbs Brothers, and a group of throat-slitting Cult Girls who grow marijuana by day and worship the giant killer pig by night. there only chance of getting away alive is to stay together. I found there to be a lot a gore and strong bloody violence in this film, but i thought that it ended up being a great horror film. 6/10
