True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

I had no clue what I was going to watch other than the title of the movie. I thought it was going to be a horror movie but as soon as I saw Marlon Wayans' face I knew it was going to be a comedy. I'm not a big fan of Marlon Wayans so I was expecting a lame movie. But to be honest I found myself laughing quite a lot. Sure there are lame parts in this movie but the funny parts are really worth watching. It's a parody of Paranormal Activity and The Exorcist combined. I know a lot of people are going to hate this movie but there will be also a lot of people that will like it. Don't watch it to see a nice story because it's a parody, they just make fun of horror movies. To me the best parts were the ones with Cedric the Entertainer in it. So if you want to chill out and have a couple good laughs A Haunted House will do the job.

I admit, I watched all of 20 minutes of this worthless trash, curious as to what the reasonably talented Essence Atkins was up to these days. For those who find humour in a dog being run over and killed in the first few minutes, or pouring oil over a teddy bear and simulating sex with it, you will have a field day. For anyone with a functioning brain - which has never been evidenced by ANY of these clueless Wayans morons, going all the way back to the excruciatingly UNfunny In Living Color which also vomited up Jim Carrey, the most talentless comedian of the modern era, your reaction will be the same as mine. Absolute, unmitigated garbage. And it spawned a sequel????? Wow. Only in a country that elected George W. Bush twice, I guess. SMH.

Spoiler Alert!!! I thought this film was just a mediocre comedy film compared to all of the other Wayans classic comedy films this one really isn't too special. I mean it uses the gay humor from Scary movie 1 and 2 and the Dance Flick so those jokes are already done. It uses racial humor which is really overdone and unfunny. It uses gay rape humor like in Scary movie 2 where the clown gets raped except this time it's Marlon. This whole film does have it's moments where it made me laugh but otherwise it was nothing special. I think the end wasn't all that funny either because it seemed more of dark humor where you can assume Marlon gets murdered at the end. I give the film a 5 out of 10.

Good movie spoof on the "Paranormal Activity" series. Borderline "blaxpotation" but c'mon...it's Marlon Wayans...of the Wayans family!! They don't care and that's what makes it funnier! (See "I'm gonna git you sucka") A random few lull times but most of the time I caught myself rewinding a scene because I was laughing at the previous scene and missed it. Or rewinding to watch it again just because it was that funny. I gave it only 7 out of 10 because there were a few scenes that I felt were overacted or not scripted well or could have been left out all together. Cedric the Entertainer added a lot of humor to the movie & quite honestly his lines did not seem scripted...as if he was talking from experience. That is good acting in my opinion! If you are easily offended by racial humor, this movie is not for you.
