Good concept, poorly executed.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

Baar Baar Dekho has a really interesting storyline, absolutely new concept for Hindi movies. Wish there were more movies like this. Good work by the writer, director and the actors. Keep it up :-)

This mid budget Bollywood movie emphasis on an important aspect of life. Centre of the movie is a Indian male who is about to get married with his bright future of his career ahead. As usual like a bright mathematician he rotaries his career ahead of his personal life. And his coming marriage face a question mark. Now comes the tricky part - time travel. How? Don't ask - this is not a science fiction; so you can skip/ignore that part. Let's take for the cinematic reason, that the main character can (or rather compiled to) travel through time (without his own interest and intention though) to see the future and fix the past (rather future past). And when he did all of them, he brought back to present (don't ask by whom and how). Thus comes the happy ending. The main message of the movie is - the happiness of life are hidden in the small things (like going to your child's soccer game, stand by with your partner at her first expedition) - so don't ignore them. If you take care of these small things, the big things will be taken care of. Putting my personal opinion on this aside, let's see how the movie is. Entertainment is there like a general Bollywood movie. Complete family movie. No major intimate scene to be embarrassed in front of parent/children. Music and background scores are also good (lets not forget the end track - the item song 'Kala Chashma' which is among the top 10 Hindi song viewed in YouTube). But overall, as per my opinion, you won't feel like to watch the movie 2nd time. Nice movie to relax with your partner/family.

I really do love this film! It's refreshing and an emotional love story that takes you on a Roller-coaster Ride wife life shown very clearly. I agree that it has it's flaws - the first half an hour is a total bore. Jai and the wedding preparations got me mad. Why can Jai not go to Cambridge!? Okay why is Jai being rude to the pandit? There are many more complaints about the first half an hour. The film could have been better executed and some things could have been better explained but Nitya Mehra is a debutante so I'll leave that aside. However, after the 'break up' between Jai and Diya, a day before their wedding, the film starts amazing you with unexpected surprises. The only thing that disappoints me is, not with the film, but more the fact that India is still so far behind. 5We say that we have modernized but if we have then why is this film apparently a "huge disappointment"? The reason for this is that 'Baar Baar Dekho' is not a masala entertainer like most people want Bollwoodd films to be. Instead Baar Baar Dekho teaches a very important life lesson - live in the moment and never let the people you love down and also never fight with them because you never know when they'll leave you. India expects to see a basic Bollywood film not something immune to India - Time Travel.Let me recall, wasn't the Back To The Future series a huge hit everywhere? 3 Idiots was a huge huge Blockbuster (one of my fave films EVERRR!) Then why do we not appreciate an amazing attempt at changing the Bollywood industry? I suspect that it's because of the deep message, scenes and the sci-fi elements from the movie. I can personally relate to this film in a certain way which may be the reason why I thought it was so good but I also thought that Siddarth's performance was AMAZING! After 'Ek Villain' and 'Kapoor and Sons', I thought that I would no get to see a great film of Sid's again; boy was I wrong. Every expression in the time traveling scenes is spot on - whether it's bewilderment or excitement, Sadness or Romance, he is SPOT ON. He made me cry twice...TWICE, and let me tell you I love the song 'Yeri Khair Mangdi' but boy it made me cry a river. I am not one to cry during films, though I did cry in certain films like 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Sultan' and 'Ek Villain', thus makes it clear that it must have something touching and great in it... and it does! It makes think about life and be happy in the moment!!! Not many bwood films can do that.Coming to Katrina, I personally thought she did a great job and SHE CAN ACT for anyone who says she can't. Those scenes where she is crying during their fights, u can see that she is acting. Yes, she is not the best but she works very hard which is something I admire about her. Sarika's performance in the film was Great and the actress who plays Chitra (I'm sorry, I don't know her name) has talent. Other than that none of the other main characters stood out to me. My favorite part of the film was when Jai is sent back from 2043 (I think?) to 2023 to sort his life out and the way he does that brings a smile to our faces. The way he aches for Diya and is willing to do anything to make sure she does not leave him in the coming future, is really really sweet. He is desperate to keep his childhood sweetheart his wife (I love childhood to adult love stories!). Every song in the film is AWESOME. Kala Chashma obvio tops the list and Sau Aasmaan is a close second.I would recommend anyone who has gone through hardships in life or is a youngster like me to watch this film! That's it, thanks for reading!

Once again Katrina shows that she doesn't know acting. People felt into the movie makers' trap by seeing the Kala Chasma song. A very bad movie, not well directed and obviously not well copied. Don't watch this movie as long as no one's paying something you to watch. On the whole, this movie is not decent enough to watch the first time. Don't waste your money people. And also for more decent reviews, check out the Indian based websites like flickstree.com.I have now started finding better movies through www.flickstree.com. It not only suggests great movies to watch but also tells where you can watch the movie online....Highly recommended.
