The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Sagar alias Jackie,known to be the stylish movie in Malayalam is awful.It is rich in style.No doubts. But lacks substance. The same year we had a Bollwood movie released named Blue which was high on style but lacked story.Direction by Amal Neerad is bad. The music is bad.Barring the title track. Cinematography is excellent.Performance wise-Superstar Mohanlal rocks!The baddies are bad,while Shobhana and Bhavana are okay.We get even to see Pranav Mohanlal,son of Mohanlal.Overall Sagar alias Jackie is bad.

This movie is fully loaded with style and action. Dialogue presentation are extraordinary. This is also one of the big budget movies in Malayalam and the biggest hits in the Malayalam film industry. And the Director of the movie is a well known cinematographer in the Indian film industry. And this is his second venture as a director. And this has been a great success. Initial collection was a record breaker in the Malayalam industry. The versatile actor Mohanlal is the prime reason behind the success of this movie. It is a part sequel of a mega hit movie in Malayalam released in 1987. And the actor who have been a Super star since then still continues after 2 decades into this movie.i rated it only 8 due to the inefficiency in scripting. It is the only disappointing factor in the movie. Beside that, the movie is 100% entertaining. Go for it if u search for entertainment.

The Theme song of this movie is good and may appeal for the youth. Action scenes were good.The let down of this movie are mohanlal's expressionless emotions and his chemistry with bhavana. Mohanlal looked cool in all scenes.Manoj k Jyan played his part well. Too bad shobana was not paired opposite mohanlal.She acted well in her small part.The supporting actors were cool too. Bhavana had nothing much to do except look pretty in her song. Jyothermai is in an item song, since when did she stick only to item songs? She should have got some role too. Predictable movie which is another let down. I liked one dialogue of mohanlal to manoj "You know sagar as your friend well but you don't know jacky the enemy". Mohanlal did not do any action roles after this movie. Mohanlal can still do better action roles, but he must be directed well with adipoli dialogues like narasimham,ravanaprabhu,naran.

'Sagar Alias jackie'is the sequel to the yesteryear hit movie 'Irupataam Noottaandu'.It was hyped as the most stylish Indian movie before its release..But unfortunately it remains all style and no substance.'Jackie' the smuggler played by Mohanlal(one of the most flexible actors in India) is simply superb.But Amal neerad couldn't compile a strong story to this all style package.From the start of the movie mohanlal appears in stylish costumes and gets in & out of luxury cars,shakes hands with other people with heart stopping background music.'Indu' played by Shobhana add some 'family' element to the movie.Bhavana plays a reporter with ease.Jyothirmayi's item number adds glamour.Suman has played the villain role with power.but he wasn't given more time in this movie..All other co-stars including Jagathy,Manoj.k.jay an etc add flavour to this movie.The movie puts a sudden break at the climax..which irritates the viewers.Gopi sunder, the music director gives promise with above average songs.Overall 'Sagar Alias jackie Reloaded' is watchable..at least for its style statement & thumping background score.Its not going to be a super hit,but it will for sure revolutionize Malayalam cinema...
