Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Rough'n'tumble electronically enhanced super-soldier Tallis (Don Wilson in strong rugged form) joins forces with a scrappy young gal (winningly played with feisty gusto by fetching blonde Katee Sackhoff) to defeat an army of lethal drones who have taken over the planet. Writer/director Jesse V. Johnson relates the entertaining story at a snappy pace, maintains an appropriately serious and gritty tone throughout, stages the exciting action set pieces with rip-snorting aplomb, brings a likable Grade B pulpy sensibility to the mean'n'lean unpretentious material, and delivers plenty of graphic bloody carnage. The engaging chemistry between Wilson and Sackhoff keeps the picture humming. Moreover, Keith David does lively double duty as both the hard-nosed Col. Norton and the robust voice of an old gung-ho gun, Bokeem Woodbine registers well as Tallis' gutsy combat partner Anchilles, and Dawnn Lewis provides lots of charming spunk as the sultry voice of Tallis' loyal rifle Angel. The sharp cinematography by Robert Hayes gives the movie a funky dusty'n'desolate look and makes neat use of wipes. Marcello De Francisco's spirited score hits the stirring spot. A really fun flick.

"They were the perfect soldiers to protect civilization - until the drone police became the perfect enemy. With little hope left for mankind, 'Tallis' (Don "The Dragon" Wilson), an electronically enhanced soldier, rescues a rebel beauty (Katee Sackhoff) from a failed resistance mission. A force to be reckoned with, she will learn to fight and think like a machine for the final battle to save the human race," according to the DVD sleeve synopsis.Jesse V. Johnson's "The Last Sentinel" has some of the promised blood, guts, and gunfire - but, it doesn't live up to laughable promotional comparisons to "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down", which definitely lacked some bio-mechanical clones. This film has artificial intelligence in abundance. The highlight would be seeing Ms. Sackhoff in wet panties, showing her tattooed back and half a boob, if the scene were more generous.** The Last Sentinel (5/12/07) Jesse V. Johnson ~ Don Wilson, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Keith David

Don the Dragon Wilson stars as a soldier trying to battle the sentinel police robots that were suppose to watch over mankind and instead sought to wipe us out. He hooks up with a girl and a dog and try to win freedom...Been there done that film is okay, but suffers from a total lack of reality. Nothing looks real, this is not a post apocalyptic world and the drones are little more then men in suits and it all looks fake taking away a great deal of fun. This might have been something had it been set in a world you could believe in. Wait for the SCIFI channel showing because you know its coming.

What a great sci-fi, B style action flick. If you where expecting any thing else, then your a loser. (Ribiob) Don "the Dragon" Wilson is an awesome martial artist and a border line average actor at best.Katee Sackhoff wasn't even in movie for more then 30 mins. So for all you BSG fans, put away your wet wipes and lotion. She looked lost in most of her few scenes, wondering around looking for a clue. This may not be the best movie in the hole wide world, but it dose not deserve the gang bang bashing it got. If your looking for a no brainier sci-fi action flick, with a hall of fame kick boxing legend, this is your movie!
