This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

I think Ju-on- The Grudge (2002) was amazing, it one of movies that really scared the living daylights of me. I have seem Ju-on-The Curse once before, that was a while ago, i see 2002 remake few times. So I had to give this movie re-watchThis movie is short and it had some really good creepy tone throughout the whole movie and some very good chilling moments and i feel like this movie had bit more of story then 2002 remake, it had did so what of different plot, which I never really pick on my first watch. I did not find it scary as the 2002 version but in this movie that Kayako saeki coming down stairs seem to feel a lot more scary in this movie, then 2002 remake, it raise the hairs on the back of neck. The acting was great from most of cast there was one or two actors that could have done a better but they are still watchable. I going give this movie 5 out of 10 __________________

Jealous of his wifes love for another man, a teacher from her high school, a man brutally kills his wife and young son. Searching for the son who has missed a lot of school, the teacher enters their house, only to find the dead ghost of his mother, and consequently has a heart attack and becomes a ghost himself. The story goes on to tell of the new tenants of the house and what they experience, and an investigation by two police officers into why so many people are dissapearing.Well if it's the same as the longer version more or less, I've most likely seen this too in many ways. Too many versions of these.Bottom line. Pick your poison.6/10

I watched this movie again after 10 years because I pretty well remember screaming in the theater when I watched this but the details of the movie are pretty vague(due to my memory being weak). But since the time I first watch it, Ju-on has always set the bar for horror movies and as a fan of such genre, I can very well say that Ju-on is the horror of all horrors. It belongs to that Hall of Fame of Horror movies because for me, it really captured the chills of the viewers. Whenever anyone asks me what is the scariest movie I have seen, I have always answered Ju-on..Now that I've watched it again, it still feels like the first time. It can give you that feeling of getting shocked, off guard. And that distinct sound of the kid(that monotone sound first heard in Yuki's part) really gives me the chills. It did 10 years ago, and today, it still does. That sound that only belongs to Ju-on, that sound that haunts you and adds to the already scary scenes of the movie. Add to that the faces of the ghosts that are just...scary as hell!!!!!!!!!!!! *speechless* *jaw drop* *nailbite* I won't be surprised if people actually cussed seeing the ghost's faces.Wow, for me, this is the scariest movie ever made. Ghost-scary that is, not disturbing-scary(they're different).

This movie is the scariest one i have seen so far. I have seen it 3 times so far and it seems to be getting scarier which each time. The dark lights and the bright make-up remind me of old theater play acting. That's probably the reason why this movie seems so real: you seem to watch a stage play from the gallery rather than actually a movie from your couch. The steady involvement of the stairway up to the attic into the story is truly sophisticated and as a prop of the movie, should be at the same eye-level of Psycho's shower curtain. Ju-On gets along without protracting. Cuts, lights and scenery are perfect. All effects are simple thus again so real. Of course, Ju-On also has to be compared to it's worst rival "Ringu": I would say that Ringu has more of a plot with an enchanting ending and as well enjoys the status of being the first movie that used cursed dead children who are striving for being revealed their mysterious and ungrateful death. And although Ju-On lacks a plot and people who watch it end up with a lot of unanswered questions, the fact that makes this movie so irresistible, is that Ju-On is so absolutely scary! Definitely scarier than Ringu! As i said: the scariest so far!
