Best movie of this year hands down!
Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
Perfect cast and a good story
Best movie ever!
The plot and story are above average. The acting is above average. The action matches any thing in the Fast and the Furious films. The best part of this film is exposure to viewer of these new kind of plastic aircraft. The stunts, and action was real. There is none of this trick photography, and green screen stunts. The action is based on real life kind of flying done by experimental aircraft. These aircraft are not a fantasy waiting to be built. These kind of aircraft are flying now. Imagine being able to fly yourself across the country at 300 miles per hours. I was impressed with the film. I plan to buy the DVD when it comes out.
I wish I could give this film a higher rating but I just can't, not only is the script horrible, the acting is OK at best. I saw this movie because Brandon Quinn is in it. I thought his performance in "Thirst" was very good, but in "Kill Speed" the lines the poor guy has to deliver are so awful I just cringed at times. The concept and plot of the movie are good as are the flying scenes but the acting is so bad (especially Christian Monzon) he is a breathtaking man but he needs to stay focused on his modeling career because acting is not his forte. When the most accomplished actor in your cast is Tom Arnold you should be concerned, very concerned. Skip this one, it's just that bad overall. I do want to say that I hope Brandon Quinn gets some better film roles because he has the talent i.e. Thirst, he just needs a good script.
This movie has one of the best looking cast. All the leads - Brandon Quinn, Andrew Keegan, Nick Carter and Natalia Cigliutti are beautiful. Nick Carter is really good and funny as Foreman. It's also got nice cameo roles by Robert Patrick, Tom Arnold and Shawnee Smith.Kill Speed has a lot of energy and is a fun movie to watch. There's a lot of subtle jokes and humor you'll catch if you pay attention. The airplane/jet sequences are amazing. The soundtrack rocks, especially, the "Head Over Heels" cover! It's definitely the kind of movie you'll want to see in a theater or with a great home sound system. Hopefully, they'll release a soundtrack as well.Definitely worth watching if you just want to be entertained.
I was interested in watching this movie after seeing the trailer. It seemed like a good, fast-paced action thriller, dealing with meth. Considering I am addicted to Breaking Bad, I thought it would be, at least, entertaining. The movie has some good elements, and they must have invested quite a bit of money in all of the flying scenes--and there are a lot of them. Unfortunately, this is the only part of the movie that is actually interesting, and well executed. The script seems to be written for a juvenile book, rather than as screenplay. Some jokes are just not the kind of things you would hear someone say, although they may look somewhat funny on paper. There were a couple of moments where I couldn't believe how bad some of the lines were. One of the things I will remember this movie for, is the particularly bad jokes the actors had to say. Since they invested so much into the flying scenes, why not spend some more time and effort into a good script? There were also some obvious technical mistakes with the lighting in some of the scenes, which showed a rather careless attitude towards delivering a polished product. While most of the flying scenes looked good; a lot of the police headquarters scenes looked very cheap. The police chief was good looking enough for an acting role, but; did not match at all, the persona or character required for such a role, nor did the snitch-girlfriend. One memorable moment is when he puts his foot up on the chair while cutting a deal with the main character. It was such an odd and seemingly uncomfortable position, filmed from such a bad angle, that it ruined any little credibility that scene could have produced. Very few of the cops looked like real cops, as they tried too hard to be tough; obviously not succeeding.Overall, it is a movie for teenagers that are not too critical on either the acting, script, special effects, or corniness of a situation (there were quite a few of those). From that perspective, it can actually be an enjoyable experience. But for a mature audience, this film simply will not work. However, it was a good idea, and I hope the Director takes advantage of the opportunity and learns from the mistakes made in this production, in order to not repeat them in the future.
