The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

This movie was edited poorly, directed poorly and preformed poorly. Was this take one? The dad's acting was arrogant, compulsive, not believable at all and so was the kid and his mom. You can see the silly camera men behind the boulders in their truck when the actors walk across the mountain, so many blunders it makes the movie totally unbelievable though the concept is possible. There are no scenes to prepare the viewer for making the movie connect as believable such as the huge hail, the boy being washed out of the tunnels but yet somehow people 'know' and come to help? Where is the insight to lead to this scene? What kind of parent or person would let a kid get out of the truck after all the dangers they were in and run to something he saw in the snow? COME ON people. Total blunder by the directors and editors along with the poor acting children could have done a better job. Totally disappointed.

As an Egyptian, First I wanna talk about the Egyptian environment itself:Egyptians are Arabs not Indians. Tariq is obviously not an Arab and it's easily noticed that his Arabic speech is just a weak acting, it's not about an Eastern actor and that's just it. We don't have Israelis here and we don't live among each other such easily. Between Cairo(where they the Pyramids are) and the RedSea(the evacuation point) is a great distance of about 450 KM which is impossible to cover before the sun is down. Even if they reached the evacuation point, they will not find themselves facing Jordan as they have to cross Sinai first to get to Aqaba Gulf where is Jordan. also, Camels in the desert are not such pretty and clean and it was so clear that they are not foreign camels not Egyptian.Secondly, for the film itself as abstract film:Visual effects are too poor. The whole film is about the survival of one family ignoring what's going in the world according to the title of the film. Amber loved Tariq from the first scene :"D and the father kissed his wife more than one times when it didn't demand, just to show intimacy which audience felt fake.

At least Plan 9 is funny! "Age of Ice" is excruciating! We were seriously rooting for two of the main characters to die horrible, excruciating deaths!Looking at the end credits I saw that some of the work on this film was committed at Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit. I took my draft physical there back in 1969. I can honestly say that turning my head and coughing was much more enjoyable that watching this movie!Uncredited locations include the scenes shot in some frozen tundra that could have been Saskatchewan in January, and other scenes shot somewhere in the Rocky mountains. These mountains supposedly exist somewhere between the Nile River and the Red Sea. Also present there was a tall dam presumably holding back whatever river connects the Nile Valley with the Red Sea.Finally, I see that some shills have written good reviews of this movie and given it a 10-star ranking. Do not believe them!

OK, I had to give it a 1 mainly because the movie is absolutely terrible in every possible way. However, it had me laughing all the way through with its ridiculousness, mainly because it was the absolute worst movie imaginable. Now, having said that, if you are an actor, a director, or a movie enthusiast, I highly encourage you to watch this flick for the same entertainment value I received from it; it literally is a parody of itself, which if only it had been intentional, we would consider it genius. Now I'm thinking... I know a number of producers and industry folk. . . Anyone interested in seeing an apocalyptic parody? Perhaps 'If 2012 Happened' or maybe 'Day After Yesterday'?
