Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film, like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

1/26/18. A great movie about the use of animals for experiments, in this case, chimps to test the effects of radiation poisoning on pilots. Broderick does a great job as a slacker pilot who gets punished for bad behavior, ends up in a lab, bonds with a chimp named Virgil who was trained by Hunt for 3 years to use sign language. In the end, you will cheer for Virgil and his escape to freedom that is only possible in the movies.

I was in the Air Force when this movie came out, and it saddened me quite a bit. I kept thinking, "Do civilians really think of us as these stupid, evil creatures?" I certainly hope not. Everything about the Air Force showed the movie makers contempt for it. From the way Mr. Broderick wore the uniform, to gambling on base, to the lab tech's voice intoning that everyone who had been tested for drugs was positive for something. Such disrespect, and the whole premise (really? Monkey pilots? Really??) was preposterous. GAG! And if you think using monkeys for the purpose of piloting jets is insane, what about using them as actors in this piece of crap? I'm sure if they were capable of feeling any emotions, it would have been shame.

Matthew Broderick, Helen Hunt. An Air Force pilot rescues smart chimps from lab experiments at a strategic-weapons research center, but then has to figure out what to do with them. This film will break your heart, if you have a love for animals. You are introduced to the chimps (they're given CHARACTER development, if you can dig it), then you are shown what happens TO the chimps in this research center, and then you are shown what happens because of this treatment. Once you are emotionally invested in the premise, the tension of the surrounding atmosphere begins to build until the climactic crescendo. This is actually not as bad as I remembered, but not as good as I hoped, watching from a more mature perspective. The performances are typical of the time, perhaps a tad better, but this work is horribly dated, as is practically everything from that era. I wouldn't say it rates a remaking, as it's fine as it is, but someone will in order to carry a "fresh" message that what goes on in these laboratories is wrong. Eventually, we'll see posters and ad blurbs for Project NeXt or something like that. All in all, it's good for a rainy Sunday, but don't set your hopes real high, and ... in spite of the levity , heartwarming moments, and the kid-friendly ratings, this is NOT for younger (or tender) children, who could be traumatized for years by the treatment these chimps receive. It rates a 6.8/10 from...the Fiend :.

I would you like to buy this DVD "Project X" inside my country. This is an excellent film. The movie...shows a species of apes chimps. A young inductee into the military is given the task of looking after some chimpanzees used in the mysterious... Project X. I've seen more emotion expressed in some of these chimps than the entire human cast. If you like chimps,or if you want to keep your enthralled with all things monkey for 90 minutes, this will do the trick. When I'll see the pictures again? This film is incredible! My vote is 10. Please... I want to get this DVD. I gonna to hope the release on DVD. OK! Thanks... Alexandre.
