The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

With me and a friend having enjoyed Heartbreakers, when we saw this on DVD for one pound,i thought it was worth a try.And while Hewitt does a very good performance, the film feels very empty. The Plot: Hewitt plays Katya Livingstton.A woman who works very high-up in a major advertising company. She finds out that there is a "Party of the year" coming up and the show is not on the guest list!(The might be due to ruining a wedding by letting a newly married couples husband put his head up her skirt!)So Katya feels that she must do everything she can to get an invite. But when she meets the man of her dreams, she has to decided if the man means More to her than the party..View on the film: The best part of the film is Hewitts performance. She does a very good job at being seen as a very mean woman, while saying some biting lines("My boyfriend was an Ewok in Star Wars!)The screenplay is by Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, and the thing the ruins the film is that they make Katya look so rich, the you really don't care if she picks the party or the guy.Because there is no realness to her (eg:Bridget Jones)so it just makes you feel that she can just buy anything and any one from a high-street shop.Final view on the film: A very good performance by Hewitt, thats badly let down by a very hollow plot.

Blech! Ms. Hewitt demonstrates more cleavage than talent and an enormous assortment of bras. The plot is pointlessly humorless: set piece after set piece. . .each less amusing than the previous. Some films are so bad they're funny, but this is one is so bad it's more than a waste of time; say rather it is about as much fun as passing pencils. This was on the movie channel one rainy morning and there was nothing else to watch. Frankly, I considered going out to mow the lawn at the ten minute mark, but I didn't want to hurt the lawn-mower.Pass.

Saw this one the other night. I thought it was pretty funny. It stars Jennifer Love-Hewitt as Katya, an ad exec. with a couple close friends. She tries to talk to people throughout this movie trying to be the "in-crowd." She learns in the end that it's not really worth trying to be there after she meets a nice guy that falls for her. She ends up hurting him and regrets making a huge mistake. I like Love-Hewitt movies and the characters that she plays in them. I think this movie could/should be a DVD with some extras thrown in. Definitely a movie that you should watch with your partner after you put the kids to bed! 7/10 on this one!

I loved this movie! I thought it was a campy, soapy, sexy, and salacious romp in the hay! And shocked that it was made for TV. It could've been released theatrically. Love was fantastic as the fabulously ruthless Katya Livingston. And Colin Ferguson was not only excellent as her love interest, but incredibly charming. Did I mention sexy? The writing was dead on and the directing was great. Very fun. Very stylized. Kudos to the film for raising the bar on made-for-TV movies and being a pure pleasure to watch from beginning to end! A must see!
