This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

The Oregonian is a lesser known feature film set in the rural Oregon wilderness. First screened at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 2011, respected director Steven Spielberg once called it "genre defining." With a limited budget, budding producer Calvin Reeder uses unique cinematic effects to send chills down any viewer's spine. The Oregonian does away with traditional big budget horror scares and uses techniques such as distorted sound effects and the element of suspense to deliver sharp and genuinely disturbing scares. The star studded cast drives this film's intensity, including a night-maringly scary "Green Monster" character that you are always on the lookout for. With an extremely unpredictable plot and major character development, this film is a refreshing take on the horror genre. This unpredictable plot keeps you on your toes the whole ride, and culminates in an incredible climax that leaves more questions than answers. "What does the omelet represent?" "Can I trust my own Grandma the next time I see her?" "How much gasoline can one man drink?" You may interpret the ending how you like, but there is no denying this is an amazing film that pushes the boundaries of what we know to be true in the horror industry. Strap in for this wild ride and I can assure you it will be well worth your time.

It is honestly sad that there is an actual limit to ten stars for the greatest mystery and horror flick to have ever been created. The Oregonian stars a battered blonde in a hot mess, on the run from a troubled pass of getting put in her place. She is lost and travels through the woods in Oregon that is probably only five miles from a bar considering the number of car accidents caused from alcohol. Other than their message of do not drink and drive, it is also made clear to never leave the farm. The real lesson is that she should just stay in the kitchen.Maybe your husband has to discipline his wife a little bit, but it is way more dangerous to leave the farm. The film has a mysterious monster, and twist that will leave at the edge of your seat. Always remember to watch out for granny and never trust the green monster.

In this fine work of art, the viewer has no idea what they have gotten themself into. The viewer will experience a roller coaster of emotions as this thriller does a wonderful job of keeping the element of surprise. The actors in this film do an excellent job of becoming their own in their own character as they do an excellent job of portraying the indescribable. Just when you think that you have the plot figured out, Calvin Reeder, the writer, incorporates characters from previous scenes to try to thicken the plot. Through the twists and turns presented throughout the movie, The Oregonian makes sure everyone knows that it's unsafe and unwise to leave your farm. When you watch this action-packed, jaw dropping film, be sure to use the bathroom before hand because it's virtually impossible to stop watching. Since nobody is fully able to understand the movie in its entirety, it provides the desire for a second and third watch. With the methodically thought out plot, all viewers are in for a treat.

In the film The Oregonian, the woman (Lindsay Pulsipher) is on a direction-less journey that seems as if the Oregonian is just wondering in some sort of abyss or in the unknown of a purgatory sort of world. Unlike other films, the plot of this one cannot be deciphered quite as easily. After the Oregonians's car wreck, she encounters different people and each has an uneasy sense in their character. The Oregonian is killed then the act of necrophilia is performed on her. The omelet man comes in and inserts a delicious looking omelet into the gash in the Oregonian's back. He then proceeds to pour gas on it, all happening while the necrophilia man is having the time of his life. This shows that after death, in others' minds the deceased is not always thought of and respected anymore, kind of like inserting something that was once good, the omelet, into your deathly wound. At the end of this scene the Oregonian's spirit is in the doorways at different moments and she laughs along with other women who randomly enter the scene. This provides a point of view that shows the spirit of the deceased are watching what others are doing, even as they are not physically living anymore. When she comes back to life she brutally clubs the necrophilia man to death in the bed of a truck while he is wearing a frog mascot costume. More events unveil in what seems to be an unorganized and random way to unravel, however this plot summary can be seen as the final destination of the Oregonian's journey in life, and the events that happen in her last moments of travel to said destination.
