Bunnyman is the story of a group of friends on their way back from a spontaneous weekend trip to Las Vegas, and while driving through the remote regions of southern California they suddenly find themselves in a sickening game of cat and mouse with a five ton dumptruck and, when looking for help, stumble upon a nightmarish family who takes pleasure in dismembering and eating as many of the kids as possible.

It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

Bunnyman is a throwback to the old school film making when starting filmmakers had to rely on imagination to make these kinds of movies, not millions of dollars. Bunnyman is an example of what can accomplished on a very limited budget, with limited actors on basically one location. The filmmakers know how to tell a odd yet compelling story with visually arresting imagery and apparently zero resources.

Michael's got Halloween, Leprechaun has Saint Patrick's Day etc. and now we have Bunnyman who owns Easter. My buddies and I watch horror films every time a Holiday comes rolling around. We never had a movie to watch for Easter until Bunnyman. it's a fun movie to watch, and doesn't take itself too seriously, which is good considering the title of the film. Although I'm not sure why the title is so strange to hear when you consider we are currently bombarded by films called BATman, SPIDERman etc. so why not a Bunnyman thrown into the mix. it's a very surreal film, with a creative backbone and spirit. We have a psychotic killer in a bunny suit driving a dumb truck with a half dead girl in the trunk. Who thinks of things like this?

Where to begin, this is the start of the Bunnyman franchise. I compare this to something like the original Friday the 13th where you lay down the ground work for the franchise. Yeah, both of the films are a little shaky, but they establish their respective franchises well. We see Bunnyman, yet the mystery remains where he comes from (apparently the filmmakers will address this is part 3). Sort of like Jason doesn't get the hockey mask until part 3. I like the mixed media they use in the film, and shows the filmmakers are a creative bunch. Of all the Bunnyman films, this is the most straightforward of the films. However, this original film hints at the craziness that is so evident in the sequels. I recommend viewing the film, to see where the franchise begins and because the film is highly entertaining. I recommend the film.

It's an unfortunate trend these days, to see a 20-film collection of assorted and personally selected films contained in a package from Echo Bridge Entertainment. One might hope to think that out of these there would at least be, to some degree, a collection of fairly successful properties or at least ones that have made some dents in theatrical form. While it's not uncommon to find one containing a Freddy there, a Voorhees there, a Pinhead and Myers to join the fray - there is unfortunately an increasing tendency to assemble the movies no one has ever heard of, or ever liked, into a single containment unit.'Bunnyman' is such a film that was included. I'm afraid that I was disappointed in no less than the first minute. It's flaw lays in the fact that, like most films where the director also wrote, produced, funded, acted in, likely played the actress or several actresses for budget concerns, edited, wrote songs for, re-edited and released the film on his own. Whether or not the man behid this film was going for detailing a probably account of the infamous Bunny Man myth that began in Virginia, something about it doesn't quite come off as invoking fear or psychological thrills. Instead, it comes across as nothing more than a 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' clone from start to finish, and for th next twenty minutes of the film I could have almost swore I was watching Spielberg's "Duel" or even somewhat more recent "Joy Ride".No matter the case, the film is nothing more than a glorified hackfest that offers nothing to the table in the land of horror. The myth of the Bunny Man was an urban legend that continued to grow and expand upon itself, leading to numerous identities around it, creating something of a small-time icon. This film instead decides to deliberately take parts from other, famous or less-famous films, and throw complete logic out of the window. As such, there's almost no reason to think the director had any inclination of using a script, and instead, simply had everyone improvise. To spoil the film would be all too easy. A man in a bunny suit goes after a group of unknownig teens. Thankfully the teens are, in a shocking twist, not unintelligent to do something about the matter, but they do wind up being removed (in the only way this movie permits them to be 'removed': death). But that is all there is too it. Nothing deep is explored, nothing deeper is explained, and the movie is as straightforward as it can be. It asks you to turn off your brain for about an hour, and accept itself as is.But if Bunny Man expects so little of us, why does it exist? Rather than enhance the urban legend of the supposed murderer, it simply becomes just another footnote in lazy filmmaking, and less of a campfire story told on cold, spooky Halloween nights.
