A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Movies like this one which are essentially stageplays won't please the crowd looking for spectacular CGI and action sequences. I liked it because the story was mostly logical and credible. CGI was adequate and cutaways to exterior ship views were done appropriately. Some of the acting isn't going to win any Oscars, but it's generally adequate. Most of us are blissfully ignorant of, or have forgotten the nuclear Damoclean threat which has lain dormant for 73 years, but who knows, 2065 might be the year...The movie is not without faults: A serious flaw was how the probe was unable to detect an atmosphere full of methane and nitrogen. That could have been detected spectroscopically from orbit, no need even for a probe. Then of course they would not have bothered wasting their precious fuel landing there and picked the other world instead, which turned out to be like Eden. "Hull fractures" which appear at very inconvenient times seem difficult to understand. Also I didn't understand was why Gerry went berserk and became murderous, especially when one death was explained by the Chinese psycho lurking in the Pegasus. While getting stabbed in the torso by a 4 cm scalpel blade would not be pleasant, I doubt if would really stop a healthy opponent from pulling away and fleeing or fighting back.If you like sci-fi, you may well like this one.

Such a great film. Emotional and atmospheric. Far better than the big Hollywood films like star-wars... Good story with surprises and good sound. It's never easy to find films like this so I am happy 😊 If your a sci-fi lover then this is one of those must watch films. It's a steady start to the film and has its ups and downs. Without giving too much away the ending is awesome and will leave you thinking about what could be.

I love Sci-Fi! and I've watched some really good and some bad sci-Fi. THIS IS NOT BAD Sci-Fi!!!The graphics are on par with Serenity, the plot is believable, the character development - could be a little better, but it's way way better than a 3 of 10! There is action, adventure, intrigue. This movie is not and never will be Rogue One, but it was never meant to be.(The extra high rating I gave was to balance out the putz's that are giving this clearly 70% material a 35% rating.) If you wanna see bad graphics watch Humanity's end, that is at least closer to a 30 for the bad graphic's but the character development and humor bring that one up to at least a 60%
