Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

I've seen some stinkers in my time and I have no idea why I watched this, I think assuming it was a recent sci-fi film I couldn't go wrong. How wrong I was! It has the feel that someone made a bet they could make a film in a week with £100 budget and this was the result! All bad films I've seen generally have at least one thing I can say positive but unfortunately I'd struggle with this one. The script is incredibly dire and pointless, it would of made just as much sense as if I was watching a foreign film without subtitles. The acting is wooden but no doubt is due to the fact the script is so bad there wasn't any room to 'act'. Although it has to be said that Sean Patrick Flanery really deserves some kind of bad acting award as the choice of voice (a kind of Jack Bauer husky growl) and the constant wrinkled confused look on his face is annoying to the nth degree. The set design is non existent, more like someone went down the city dump and grabbed a load of old CRT and computer keyboards and stuck them everywhere. The lighting is simply too bright in most cases, if they were to simply turn most of the lights off they'd probably end up with something a lot more sinister and moodier. The CG looks like it was done on a home PC with free software. Some of the stills of the spaceships look okay but as soon as they move...oh dear. Also there is no ambient light in space, everything should be harsh shadows and yet against the pitch black of space the dark side of the spaceships are gray! Green-screen when the 'actors' are superimposed look awful, with blurry halos around everything. Sound was very lackluster, I don't recall anything adding to the ambiance or tension of the scenes.I didn't have the willpower to watch the whole film in one go but no film has ever beat me so I forced myself to finish it. The one redeeming thing about the film is I film privileged that I have now watched the worse film I've every seen. Thank you for that.

I'm a fond watcher of sci-fi movies both from the highs of Hollywood and from the underworld where B movies are made, neither prepared me for what I just watched. The film was apparently made in 2013, i'm convinced this was actually found in some dusty decrepit cellar in a tin dating back to the early 1960's and since nobody knows the actors anyway they got away with it.It beggars belief how a director and for that matter a production company actually put money into this so it could be made and even released. To explain my disgust onto the world about how bad it is isn't easy but let me say that the continuity alone before I get onto the 'acting' was so bad that within the first few minutes I knew I was watching something that I had to report on, for instance the cgi, oh dear oh dear oh dear, lets just say it was so bad that even a cgi ship cast a cgi shadow onto a cgi space background, is that bad enough for you?....no, then how about the visors vanishing randomly into the green screen or the background suddenly stopping when a spacecraft flies past. There are probably more bumbling errors but I only watched the first 40 minutes before switching it off so if you dare go watch it and find out for yourself. Oh and when someone gets blown up the people around that get covered in his blood and guts don't tend to just stay stood there and not give a damn, and the blood wouldn't just stay where it initially landed, it tends to run.......except in this film where it literally dries on the spot. Now onto the acting, there isn't any end of, everyone on it seems to have been dragged in off the streets, doesn't want to be there and then decides to put on stupid voices to sound futuristic and that's the actors dealt with. Now the sets of in internals of the ships, I get the idea of scavenging and that's why the parts are a mish mash of everything, but in the future why are there 1970's televisions propped up on their sides, there must be 100 random keyboards used on the sets simply painted the same colour as what they're attached to and i'm sure I saw bits of lego used also, even the sets of 1970's doctor who and Blake 7 were better than what was used in this film.Right that's it, my rant is over, I bet it's taken me longer to write this than it took the script writer to write the dialogue for this film, OK OK rant finally over. Seriously guys 'n' gals just don't watch it for the sake of your sanity, there are much better films out there that we're made on a budget like this one and are actually good.

I adore B grade Sifi.. The dial turns so far into the bad it swings into awesome !!! Seriously This film encourages the imagination to be absorbed within the situation of the characters. I imagine how cold and empty space could be and how their piloting only a steal can with jets, I love their sense of vulnerability and isolation, and the awesome space scenes. Its as hard edged as Eve online and as cold as the Movie 'Moon'. Ruthless as Enders game. I relate to the characters and felt the gravity in their roles. Most scenes are fantastic with a serious feel of the moment; but made up of everyday items sprayed black. Their is a real art to make such a great sifi under such a small budget what a great discipline. Great quotes by Jeckal I must remember.I'm looking forward to the next movie Scavengers II.Also, What a twist, its too bad most critics could not watch or think that far... what will be the consequences??? Open your mind guys !!!

Okies we have a bunch of TV actors in a low budget Sci-Fi, the acting is OK apart from the bad Captain who whispers and over acts his way through the movie. The ships are TV movie standard but the special effects such as weapons and fire are well lame. If you loose track of what ship you are in its easy to tell, the bad ship everything has been painted black and the good ship its all shiny. What happened to the keyboards in the over acting Captains ship, looks like they are covered in mud? The computer screens in the ships show random patterns and/or nonsense. When one of the crew members explodes its more amusing than i'm sure they wanted it to be and then the crew don't seem that bothered either stood there covered in his blood and carry on as nothing had happened and i guess their running water on board the ship is not running any more, maybe damaged? as the Doctor remains covered in blood for quite a while after the crew member exploded. The movie lacks any suspense, they tried to make some with one of the women trying to reach a switch when all she had to do was just move a little closer and reach it, it had all the ingredients, the camera shots flicking back n forth to other worried crew members, the running out of time speech and the dramatic music, but the reaching scene won't be listed in any Most Dramatic Scenes in Movie History lists.I am reviewing the movie as i watch it and i am sad to say the movie has not kept me interested enough to continue with it, i got bored at about 50 minutes and gave up. I feel i am wasting time watching it and could be watching another much better movie.I am sure this movie could be an OK TV movie but as it is its just boring.
