The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
The acting in this movie is really good.
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Enjoyable family friendly movie. Especially worth seeing because of Laura Vandervoort. Makes you wonder why she wasn't a major star?
Simply put, the thought that constantly comes to mind is "nobody in real life talks like this"; unrealistic dialogue. Also, there is very cheesy music used multiple times that make this seem like more of an anti-depressant commercial than a movie.
After reading the reviews I felt like the movie needed more positive ones as well. It's a cute romantic comedy about a struggling coffee shop owner. Yes, it's predictable (as in every hallmark-type movie) who she would end with (a really handsome actor, by the way, googled him but sadly he has made not many movies) and the conflict maybe is a little foney, but still it was pleasant to watch. If you're looking for a sweet romance without much deepness to entertain yourself, this one can be a good option.
The humor, which is nicely scattered throughout this chick flick makes it a great date night movie that any guy with a romantic bent will also enjoy. It is inspirational with Christian undertones which I found refreshing for a change. Be who you really are, love others, serve others... that's the encouraging message you'll find in this great movie.
