As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Actors: Vivica A. Fox, Bill Bellamy, Carmen Electra, Stacey Dash.Welcome to the new players club where everyone's in on the game! Vivica A. Fox, Carmen Electra, and Stacy Dash star as three smart and sexy friends fed up with being played by the men in their lives. To prove that all men are predictable and easily seduced, this hot trio decides to play by a new set of rules. They enter into a wild contest of seduction to convince one lucky man that he's living a dream... but what the girls don't realize is that their mark is in onto their game and he's got a few plays of his own.The three ladies were very good with solid performances all around. The story is a bit unbelievable but the director makes it all work. As to exactly what you will see, I'm not going to give that away but this is an entertaining movie with a few surprises. Surprise Vivica takes most of it off and so does Carmen but I really liked the character played by Stacey. Too aggressive can be misinterpreted in a woman and the "B" word often slips out. Obviously this is a love story where true love wins out overall but I'm not happy with the sterotype that all hetero males are ready to jump any attractive woman that comes along but bellamy does a good job playing and getting played to his own harm and near loss of a good thing in Ms Dash. Also cameos by comedians "Earthquake" and Tachina Arnold from the old "Martin" sitcom "Martin Lawrence" were very funny.danceability-1 Amsterdam Holland

i felt like watching a comedy, and i already knew what to expect of vivica))i was not disappointed. in all her roles to date she is very expressive on screen, sometimes in a wacky way, but always very entertaining. for any fans of her like myself you will NOT be disappointed. i can not believe this woman is way over 40 years old! same goes for Stacey Dash( if seen the recent movie "i could never been your woman", she has a high school teenager role and plays besides Michelle Pfeiffer which herself looks great at 40+, but still Stacey is jaw-breaking for ANY age). i can easily see how their looks and ATTITUdES here could get some women jealous of them))), but looks aside, Vivica A. Fox has always proved an actress that gets in her role well or very well( sometimes "over the top" but for a comedy that is expected and wishful at times). to sum it up here, she is so "entretainingly annoying".)) from the middle part to the end i was off the chair laughing.))))also the comedian Sheryl Underwood has a 5 minutes cameo as a stand up comedian, very funny.OK, enough about her for now. this production has some clichés( less then expected for me, and the "feminist" issues do HAVE TWSISTS that should please everyone, or at least not annoy )( also a couple of remarks for "desired" people that have to "be" wealthy, yucksss). the only problem i found here is Bill Bellamy. i do not think he can act( or maybe is my perception of him because he getting jiggly with "my" sexy, big eyes Vivica A. Fox????hehehehe).anyhow if his character would have had been played by Jamie Foxx this might have been better then "booty call",yet another movie that has the score UNDER 5, and on which matter i can not see or understand why...they are both very as comedies based on situations and HILARIOUS at that as well.also the title, for a change makes perfect sense.i give it 8 star because , as i said, i got what i was looking for and MORE.if i wanted to watch a thriller obviously this would have got 1 star, you get my drift.))recommended for young "wacky" couples that want to have some "jelousy " pillow fights.

I agree with the 1st comment. This movie had potential and there are quite a few things wrong in it that made me give it a bad review. Directing and editing was just the beginning. The writing or storyline went nowhere. Key elements are missing that leave you asking, WHY? Spoilers aheadBig Plot hole. When the woman first start Stacy Dash's character (Emily) tells her therapist that she hired an investigator. Why do we not know of the results of the investigators findings. I actually thought there was going to be more to Bill Bellamy's character (Mark) then shown. Why was Emily seeing a therapist in the first place. Again I expected the therapist and Mark's storyline or something to tie in together. When Vivica's character (Andrea) and Lauren (Played by Carmen Diaz) were seeing the same man learn that they were seeing the same man there was nothing. OK they didn't need to have a cat fight but neither woman went off on the man either. But I will leave it to your opinion, As far as mine this movie blows.

The story starts by an introduction of Andrea Collins (Vivica Fox). This woman is depicted as preppy, shallow and self-obsessed (chliche) Hollywood actress. Despite of that, due to the funny - at times even parodying way of using this character makes this girl somewhat lovable. Later on, Andrea meets two of her friends and they start a twisted challenge : silly competition in seducing (almost) randomly selected stranger. (Suprisingly, no actual prize was at stake)Getting played is a romantic story that won't get you disappointed. The movie is perfectly written (the plot is great for the comedy genre) and acted, the scenes are warm and music well chosen. The part where mark strips was rather unique and unpredictably funny. I loved Stacy Dash here - she was very appealing and no less shining than Vivica Fox or Carmen Electra. Overall this story is a great movie, its smart and original humor suited me very well. Great alternative to senseless teen comedies (about losing virginity), overgrown weed-smoking losers living with their mums and the like. Getting played is no tough art or deep story but simple, well executed romance/fun flick that shouldn't make its audience regret their choice. This movie can easily find decent place on my shelf, since It's very charming, delightful and entertaining piece.
