The horror film Skinned Deep begins when a family suffers a flat tire on a barren stretch of road with only a diner dotting the landscape. They meet Granny, the seemingly nice old woman who runs the establishment, but they soon find that she is the leader of a deranged clan. The family is slain, with the exception of their teenage daughter, Tina whom one of the sons in the family, Brain (a boy with an externalized brain much larger than his head), takes a romantic interest in. Soon a group of bikers show up, forcing the girl to figure out which group of crazies she should throw in with in order to stay alive.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

To start the review of this movie, I have to make one thing known. Two friends of mine were on a mission to find the worst movie ever. They picked this up from the store. Late one night, we decided to watch it. Well, not knowing what to expect, it opens to this scarring scene, prompting one of the four of us to leave. "I'm not in the mood for a horror movie." he said. It's too bad, too. Because this isn't a horror movie. It's a horrible one. Onto the review.Basically, the box offers scenes of gore, and if you like gore, you may be led to believe this movie has something to offer you. But, unfortunately, none of the gore is actually shown until the end of the movie, and what's on the box is as gory as it gets. The rest of the movie consists of crazy family chasing chick, or old people fighting monster people. The only scene that isn't, is where Brain, a very cunning character with a large head, decides to reveal his true dream...to run naked through Times Square. And the movie shows this. For five minutes. For the first two, you're sitting there, "Please take his stuff off the screen." It finally leaves. You are thanking the movie creator. Then it comes back. For another two. Really, other than that, and some gore at the end, this concludes the movie. If you add where the lips don't match the dialog, and some quiet sound, it becomes fantastically horrible. I'd recommend seeing this, if only to let everyone know that you, too, can make it.

What a great B movie, it had all the potential to become an A movie if the acting was a little bit better. But the story and the character "General" is great and weird at the same time. You can easily give this a bad vote, but look past it and see it as something that is for your pleasure: a true sick and disturbing movie with some great characters like Warwick Davis (Leprechaun) as Plate, this is really a sick person ;-) I would like to see a sequel! And there is gore all over the movie from a family to a couple of old bikers that cruise around and stop for a coffee. Try this one and if you are a true horror fan, you will like it.

This movie was one of the most f***ed up movies I have ever seen. The make-up effects were awesome. Surgeon General was crazy looking, although somewhat reminding me of Balzac the Jaws of Death from GWAR. The quality of video and sound was rather low... but you can't let that make a movie bad. The storyline was awesome. The actors were funny, especially Warwick Davis' role as Plates. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. The gores scene were really well-made, the Grandmother melting after the tube was pulled from her head. A lot of people who seen this movie before told me it was cheesy and stupid... obviously they don't appreciate a creative, unique and fun horror movie,
